Remarks

National School of Drama is one of the best drama schools in the state and is the first option for all drama students. The college not only offers students with best of everything but also makes college life super fun. NDS was first option for me after my gradution mainly because of its facilities and faculty support.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum of the National School of Drama needs a lot of effort and time to cover. If students want to top their classes, they will have to attend all the classes and get practical exposure. The course curriculum focuses on not only the theoretical aspects of the program but also includes practicals that make concepts easy to understand.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 50280 per year

Internships Opportunities

No, I did not apply for any internship program. If students are interested, they can apply for off campus internship opportunities after the completation of the course. There many reccruiters who offers great placement packages and stiped to NDS students.

Placement Experience

No placement drive was conducted on the same ground for Drama program students, however, students of my batch received really great internship opportunities from various recruiters during their off-campus placements. Students can get internships or jobs through off-campus means if they need.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee of the Diploma in Dramatic Arts of NDS is about Rs.16,860 for the first year. The fee of the program is very affordable and feasible. The total program fee covers the tuition charges, examination fee, admission charges as well as activity charges of the students so they don't have to worry about paying it later.

Campus Life

My college experience was really good. The faculty members of NSD were really helpful and they guided me throughout the academic year. The school has a very aesthetic and eye-pleasing campus ground with one kind facilities for students.

Hostel Facilities

NDS does not offer any hostel accomodations to students. However, students can still apply for rental facilities around the campus ground. There are many hostel facilities available In Delhi that students can decided from.

Admission

In the admission process of NDS for Diploma in Drama, students first have to meet the eligibility criteria mentioned by the school. The graduate students who are interested in Drama and theater can submit their application process. Further, they are selected based on their eligibility and performances in the audition and workshop.

There is a proctive college placement cell tied to every department and every semester/batch students via a placement coordinator who facilitates communication between the cell and students. Students are eligible for paid internships early in their college tenure, with placements following later. Placement Experience:

The college has really more to do with its placement cell because students are not getting opportunities as they expect. The companies which come for placement drive are from limited domains and they also offer very normal package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it 8/10 as there are so many modules included in all course subjects . Its more theory based uncludes the practicality's. Is should be more practical based than theory so that it can help student to gain some practical knowledge as well

Good Exposure in Event Management Field

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.
