I am studying B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (2021-2025)batch, at Prince Dr.K Vasudevan College of Engineering And Technology, ponmar, the infrastructure is good, the canteen food is of good quality, but only a minimum number of items are there, teaching is better, teachers conduct tests on all days. You can find the application form at the college office, the eligibility of the course is you must secure above 75% in HSLC, they lowered the yearly fee for my reservation quota, infrastructure can be developed much more.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I wanted to shine in the IT industry, in my class 40 boys and 20 girls are studying, the teachers are well qualified, and their method of teaching is also good, they teach by giving test on 1subject every day, the term exams or internal assessment exams are conducted incorrect time, passing the exams is easier..but getting more marks is just difficult.
Internships Opportunities
IT companies like cognizant, TCS, IBM, Infosys, Capgemini, ZOHO, Wipro, and automobile companies like tech Mahindra and Hyundai, etc come for internships, we do many projects. They give a stipend to us.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Infosys, cognizant, Capgemini, Wipro, Zoho, TCS, Tech Mahindra, IBM, and much more come for the campus interview. The highest salary package is 24 LPA and the lowest salary package is 6 LPA. The profiles offered are software engineer, data analyst, data engineer, data scientist, software tester, software developer, app developer, web developer, etc. 99% of the students are placed. My plan after getting a degree is to join Infosys as a data analyst or data engineer.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fees were Rs.45000 per year then additionally Rs.15000 for bus fees, so totally Rs. 60000 per year. I am studying under a scholarship from an IT company called Soprano Steria, they pay my overall fee, they selected me and sent me the details.
Campus Life
They conduct many programs in the conference hall for every important day, they conduct many competitions on speech, drawing, etc. Here there is no library. The classroom has no smart boards and projectors. We go for sports to play against other colleges under Anna University and won second, third places. social groups like Rotaract, EDC, science club, maths club, and many more, are there in this college
