Remarks

Need 50% in graduation course to be eligible for this program. Along with this, the MHCET entrance exam is also needed. The cutoff for Dalmia was 98%. After this, there is a GD PI round which is for those students who get shortlisted and is conducted on the same day. The application can be done via the website where the link is available. All information of the application process and the fees for application are mentioned there itself as you proceed with the application. Application starts after CET results are out and open till September.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Choose this course as an add-on after my BBA degree in Hotel Management. The HR specialization helped me in furthering my career. NL Dalmia has a great value being one of the best management courses in Mumbai. The faculty student ratio is 1:10 and the class size being 40, there is a good amount of interaction and connect with the faculty. The teachers are top HR industry professionals who help the students in learning via live examples. The college also organizes guest lectures from industry experts for latest corporate experience. There are 2 exams every trimester ie the mid tests and the finals. These are fairly easy exams as the teachers set application based questions and study material is also provided.

Internships Opportunities

5

Summer Internship is conducted after the first year and interviews start from 3rd trimester itself. The companies that come are Kotak Mahindra, Yes bank, Datamatics, MWH Holdings, etc and roles provided are in the lines of banking and finance, AI ML, IT, Analytics, etc. The insternship lasts usually for 2-3 months which depends on the company and the role that they have offered. The project I was given involved creating talent pool for the organization and also employee and candidate experience survey.

Placement Experience

5

There is a summer internship after the first 3 trimesters where companies come for interviews and roles depend on the company that selects you. It is for 2-3 months usually and is compulsory ie a part of the curriculum to complete to qualify for the degree. Same for final placement, interviews begin after the 4th trimester is done. More than 50 companies came to campus for final placement and highest package given was 11.2 lakhs and average was 8.8 lakhs which depended on the company and the job role. Roles are offered for consulting, IT, media, manufacturing and banking and finance roles of HR Generalist, HR Business Analyst and Talent Acquisition. Companies such as Godrej, IndusInd bank, TCS, Zee, Meru, Capstone, etc were the prominent companies for the final placement. 100% placement was achieved for the HR specialization.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for 2 years is 11 lakhs which is split into half per year and is to be paid when the year begins. There are no scholarships provided by the college but they do have tie-ups with ICICI, Axis and Bassein Catholic banks for the student loans which is beneficial for the students. There are also no campus jobs but summer internship is compulsory for all students.

Campus Life

5

Aakarshan is conducted at the beginning of the year for the new batch by the seniors. Along with this, there is the International HR Conclave conducted where students can present papers, and also there is a corporate panel discussion which is beneficial for gaining industry insights. The library has all books needed for the course and also extra material such as case papers and articles for students to access. Classrooms contain projectors, laptops, individual sockets for student laptops, microphones if needed, and other amenities. The annual Sports League event is a 3-day event which is for all NL Dalmia students and many games are competed for. There is also Howzatt which is a cricket tournament for B-schools across India. There is also the HR club which organizes events for the students all year round like dance, music, competition, etc.

Interview Experience

5

Students must clear the MHCET exam to be shortlisted for NL Dalmia's course. After this, there is group discussion and personal interview rounds that take place. GD is done in groups of 6 and the topics given are very common such as the latest news, general knowledge topics or even abstract topics. Topic that we were given was the Importance of HR in an organization and they expected facts and figures in the points made by the groups. Preparation can be done from various MBA classes such as CATKing or others and topics for the GD and PI questions commonly asked are available on the internet for practice.

Placement Experience:

The average Lpa of the college is 9 lpa so it is good. Marketing gets 100% placement as compared to other streams. There is booth on campus and off campus placement. And the placement cells bring good companies and there are chances of PPO also.

College management is not that good, which I felt is need to be improved. making everything student centric makes it difficult for students as well as college to be organised.

We learned a lot from the curriculum and the college itself. My journey was a mixed bag of feelings with many sweet and sour moments. The classroom sessions were fun and so were the field visits and management activities like webinars or mock marketing competitions.

The university gives you a great exposure to shape up your life for a great future. There's absolutely no racism and everyone is treated equally. This is the only institute in pune where girls and boys are found in almost equal numbers. In fact girls are encouraged to become entrepreneurs.
