Remarks

Students under the age of 25 years and passed class 12th with a minimum of 60% marks from the science stream are eligible to appear for NEET. NEET is the only exam through which admission occurs in this college. After the NEET results director of medical education, Assam releases a state merit list for 85% quota. They also release the application forms on their website. Admission is based on the merit list following reservation for SC, ST, EWS, OBC students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I want to be a good doctor so I chose the course MBBS and this college is in my hometown. Our all professors are doctors, they have lots of experience in hospital and medical-related stuff. They teach us on the PowerPoint projector. They divide us into small groups to teach in practical classes. They conduct exams after every 3 months and at the end of the season, they conduct an annual professional exam which is very tough.

Fees and Financial Aid

First-year fees are around 17500 and total fees are around 1.5 lakh which is very low as compared to private medical colleges which cost around 50lakhs. We have to pay monthly fees for the hostel mess which cost around 1700. We do get scholarships every year. I got a scholarship from the minister of ISHAN UDYAN NORTH EAST INDIA.

Campus Life

4

SYMPHYSIS is an annual fest at our college and it is conducted in near September to October month. Every year student union conduct extracurricular activities like sports, cultural programme. During the college annual fest, we do call some Bollywood stars to sing on the stage. All medical-related books are available in the library. Nowadays daily newspapers, magazines are also available in the library.

Hostel Facilities

4

Rooms provided in the hostel have proper lights, fans, well ventilated. There is both single and double rooms. In the mess they provide meals 3 times a day and dinner is mostly tasty. The registration for the hostel is done on the college and is alloted on the basis of NEET rank. Nearby pg and rented rooms easily available but it's very costly.

Becoming a Doctor and to say proudly "Don't worry I will take care and see to your illness" dragged me to this course. Faculty: Student ratio is 1:2 Mixture of both good and bad boring teachers. We have a lot of exams in the college. It drains your soul out of you. We barely pass. After joining MBBS you stop dreaming of topping what we wish is to get the borderline marks somehow.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always wanted to be a doctor so that I could cure people and help them to get rid of various diseases. The faculty: student ratio is approx 1:4 The faculty are highly qualified with MBBS, MD, MS, DM, March, and various other degrees done by them. The teaching process includes lectures in the classroom with the help of smart slides. Almost every month there are exams but there are internals every 3 months and finally the finals. Medical study is one of the toughest courses to pass as we need to know about a lot of different things all at once
