Remarks

I had applied to around 12 colleges. I had specifically chosen this college because of my stream.I was interested to take CSE course. I had finished my BTech under EBC category. The Government had provided 35000 per year. Rest 25000 per year is the amount I paid. The eamcet rank cut off for my college is around 140000 and I secured 1350 rank in eamcet. After applying colleges, I got admission into St. Martin's Engineering College. They asked us to bring few documents and took our SSC and intermediate memos.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I had chosen this course because I was always curious to know how actually a computer works. I always heard about programming languages and was curious to explore more. Hence I had chosen CSE. It was quite a good ratio between faculty and student. It was neither friendly nor strict. Few lecturers didn't know the basic things about their own subject. That was a bit upsetting! Most of the faculty members have done MTech and their way of teaching has to be improved. Few faculty members have their native language. As most of the class members are from different states, It was a bit difficult for them to manage. It was very difficult to clear exams as it was under JNTU University. Results will never go up to your expectations.

Placement Experience

2

The placement experience is very bad. Due to lockdown, our batch didn't get chances to attend interviews. Students who got jobs on their own, their hard work and talent credit was taken by the college for their banners in college. Around 30% of students got jobs through college. Rest had to work very hard outside to get a job.

Fees and Financial Aid

The overall fee structure for my course is 60,000. I had applied for a scholarship and I had to pay 25000. Rest 35000 was provided by Government. Every semester we have to go for eprint application process and submit documents.

Campus Life

4

It was a great experience. We had Freshers, Annual day, Coding clubs celebrations. We had labs, a canteen, coffee stalls. We also attended Hackathon events which were very difficult. There were a lot of sports and cultural activities like cricket, chess, tennis.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to attend for campus placements from 6th semester. Campus placements are pretty average around 5 lakhs. If the student fails to place in campus placements they need to try off-campus placements. The highest package here a student has achieved is 64 lakhs, he got placed in amazon in an off-campus placement. The companies which offer campus placements are average. The percentage of students getting placements is around 25 percent. I plan to try both on-campus and off-campus placements after getting my degree.
