Remarks

The admission process generally starts in the month of April after GATE results are out. We have to apply in each of the college admission portal as well as there is a centralized admission portal (COAP) where offers are released from mid May. I chose IIT Madras as it was one of the top 3 IITs and it has good faculty for ML and AI. Also, the placements are good.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was difficult and so were the academics. Faculties are PhDs in their respective areas and they are experts in their fields. Term exams and internal assessments are all planned and scheduled accordingly.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, I interned at Mathworks. There are a lot of companies that visit the campus for internship and later provide PPO for the deserving candidates based on their works. The projects vary from company to company.

Placement Experience

We were eligible for placements in our 3rd semester. There are around 500 companies that had come for the placements. The highest package was around 60 lakhs and average package is around 20 lakhs. Around 80% students got placed.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The institute fees per semester was around Rs.14000 and hostel fees per semester was around Rs. 24000. Since we were post graduate students, we had teaching assistant responsiblities for which we received monthly stipend of Rs.12400

Campus Life

Saarang is the cultural fest and Shaastra is the tech fest. They are all conducted in December end and start of January before the semester officially starts. There are various clubs available that anyone can join if they are interested. Books are available in the central library and can be requested if they are not available.

Admission

There were no test conducted for admission in IIT Madras but IIT Kanpur conducted a coding test. Coding questions needs to be practiced thoroughly.

Life and Difficulties at SRM University from honest POV

Placement Experience:

the placements start from third year. there are multiple oncampus companies that visited like juspay,zs associates, cognizant,accenture,capegemini and etc. the average package is aroung 5,00,000 the percentage of student is around 60-70 around this year but its still going on by this march.

IITM BS DEGREE - a game changer in distant education

I choose this college over the another colleges because it is the best degree degree over the BTech from low level or tier three tier four colleges, I was having many options for T3 colleges BTech CSE, but I chose this because I think it's the best I apply to SRMS Bareilly University all the colleges I was confirmed, but I chose this college because it was providing me latest curriculum and data science is very new in this.
