Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT), Surat was established in 2017 by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). It is funded by State Government and industry partners Gujarat Narmada Fertilizer Corporation (GNFC), Gujarat Informatics Limited (GIL) and Gujarat Gas Limited (GAL) under public-private partnership (PPP) model.Currently, IIIT Surat is operational from its temporary premises at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT). The permanent campus is in progress over a 50 acres land. As of now, the institute is offering admission to Bachelor of Technology (BTech).

Course Curriculum Overview

IIIT Surat offers admission to BTech programme in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) and Computer Science & Engineering (CSE). The admissions are based on Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main.

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Surat released the report of its first ever placement drive this year. More than 40 companies visited the campus to make the placement offers. 27 CSE students & 17 ECE students got placed. 72% CSE students & 63% ECE students got placed by reputed recruiters.The highest CTC of INR 41 lpa was offered to the students. The average CTC stood at INR 9.475 lpa & the median CTC stood at INR 8 lpa .Top recruiters like Microsoft, Rubrik, Adobe, Amazon, Directi, Lowes, American Express, TCS, Deloitte etc participated in the placement drive.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is decent and average as compared to other IIITs. Their are many scholarship programs offered to students according to their financial status. Campus placements have been recently conducted and average CTC offered was around 10 lpa .

Campus Life

Campus life is very sorted and good. There are different fests, workshops, events, sports tournaments conducted annually to encourage co-curricular activities. NIT Surat is currenlty mentoring IIIT Surat and sharing its campus with us. So, basically IIIT Surat has access to all facilities available at NIT Surat.

Admission

No, the selection is based on entrance exam i.e. JEE mains. There is no interview based selection or and extra written test other than JEE. So a student can directly take admission on the basis JEE rank.

A Comprehensive Review of My College Experience

Placement Experience:

Placements at the college are moderate, with students becoming eligible from the 6th or 7th semester. A few IT and core companies visit, offering roles like developer and trainee engineer. The highest package is around 6–8 LPA, while the average is 2–4 LPA. Around 50–60% of students get placed, while others pursue higher studies or off-campus jobs. My plan after completing the degree is to improve my skills and aim for better opportunities or pursue higher education.

Placement Experience:

You can take campus this placement from your first sem you don't have any issues but it's has to be a good company and the package because from 2nd year they start giving you placement chances to intern. There are many companies like TCS Google Microsoft Apple LinkedIn and many more companies are there. There are training sessions also for your learning and placement of companies. The company come to train the students they teachers programming languages which are going to be used in companies. 95% students get placement in Parul University and the average package of placement is 5 lakh to 5.2 lakh. Paru University try to give jobs placement to every single student but at the end it's depend on the student who is confident giving the interview of companies. I wanted to just work on the desk I still have not decided my plan after getting the degree I am get to be decided in which programming language I am good or not. The highest package of Parul University is 3 crores the student get the package the offer from the LinkedIn profile its a very good impression of Parul University.

Placement Experience:

Placement is there and around 92-95% students get placed every year which is quite good in current economy. Highest package offered was 12LPA which is decent for aa college openend less than a decade ago. Average package is around 6LPA to 7LPA. There is no restrictions in semester in which a student can apply for placement but usually 3rd and 4th year students are the one applying. My plan after degree is higher studies in colleges like Monash etc

BEST COLLEGE FOR CYBER

Placement Experience:

The placement of Rashtriya Raksha University is good infact the placement rate is much good. Around 85-90% students get placed through campus drives. Other students either opt for higher studies or pursue for certifications like CEH, CISSP etc. Students become eligible for campus placements in their 7th Semester. Companies like TCS, Amazon, Wipro, Infosys and Cybersecurity firms visits the campus and offers good packages. The average package of this college is around 8 lakhs. The highest package is 18 LPA and still counting. The profile offers includes Cybersecurity Analysts, Network Security Engineers etc. I aim to secure a Cybersecurity role in top MNC's and further enhance my skills through advanced certifications.

From 6 semester students become eligible for campus placement, too much companies are visited to our campus like , L&T , TATA, TCS many others around 150+ companies. Which is the highest placement in our college is that 20 lakhs and average package is that around 5 to 6 lakhs.

Review of iiit surat

I want to study in western part of india i.e. gujarat or maharashtra. So I've encountered all best colleges in these two states, offcourse iitb will be number 1 but i have just cleared advanced and not even scored good marks in it and in mains i got 40k rank so i couldn't get into circuital branch in nit nagpur and nit surat, so i have decided iiit nagpur , iiit surat and iiit pune. Unfortunately i couldn't get into iiit pune due to high cutoff and got seat in iiit surat in csab 2024. These college only accept jee mains score and no exams will be accepted for b.tech admissions, General cutoff of my college for cse is 35k and for ece is 47k in jee mains....Read More
