IBS made me a professional!

IBS has the reputation of one of the best B-Schools in the country, offering innovative and globally accepted programs and great opportunities for all-round development. I heard this from my college , who was a alumni of this institute and convinced me to pursue my Masters from there. For online application, I filled the form available on the official website (www.ibshyderabad.org) followed by online application fee payment around 1000. I had to submit 12th marksheet in which I scored 82%, graduation marksheet with 78% and appeared for CAT exam scoring 150 and deposited documents supprting work experience for at least 2 years. After following the process I got selected for personal interview round.

The two-year MBA program is a flagship program that is offered in 4 specializations in Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, and Operations & IT. Summer Internship Program and Soft Skills Labs are the most important part of my course tht gave me exposure to the professional world. Faculty is the backbone of the college. The professors are highly qualified and knowledgable. They were always welcoming whenever I had any doubts.

I was required to do the Summer Internship after the completion of the 2nd Semester. It was a paid internship in a reputed MNC that not only gave me theoretical knowledge but gave me practical exposure to handle the pressure.

I was taught and trained through the concept of the Syndicated Learning Programme (SLP), involving classroom sessions, Group Discussions, Interviews designed and executed by Academia and Industry experts. SLP prepared me for campus placements. I got a job in a reputed MNC and was offered a package of 1000000.

The course is of 2 years. For 1 year I paid approximately 7,10,000 and the total fees was around 14,00,000 for 2 years. The institute provides a range of financial assistance based on the academic merit and eligibility criteria. I was lucky enough to get financial aid that helped me to reduce some burden from my parents shoulders.

The campus was vibrant and lively. Entire year was filled with some or the other extra- curriculum activities or some festive celebration. The sports days, fairs, exhibitions gave me more confidence and exposure to participate among so many students.

O was very excited to experience the hostel life And it made the best days of my life so memorable. The hostel had AC and non-AC rooms, I opted for AC room because of the mixed weather of Telangana. The campus had cafeterias that were open pretty much all night. Overall the amenities provided were good. The hostel will added approximately from 40k to 50k to my fees.

I was called for the personal interview that was taken by team of 3 senior professors. They questioned me about current affairs and my opinion on certain issues. I was really confident in answering and able to answer all the questions. Finally I was selected.
