IIT MADRAS , A great educational hub

Admission was done through the official website of IIT Madras. It was an easy process . There was no hassle. the counseling was not done due to covid. I availed SC quota for admission. I checked the last year's cutoff from the college Dunia website to get admission in my stream which is Aerospace engineering.

I chose Aerospace engineering especially due to my interest in this subject from childhood. Faculties very good . They clear the doubts in a very impressive way . The teaching method is awesome. All the faculties have good qualification ( P.H.D , M.Tech etc.) and possess great knowledge about their subject. In a month there occurs atleast one exam and there are two main exams in a semester ( Mid sem and End sem).

IIT MADRAS commenced the placement drive for the academic year 2020-21. Approximately 22 companies made the 123 offers for the first session on December 1,2020. As compared to the previous year, this year the offers are in IIT MADRAS despite of covid 19 impact. During the last academic year,102 offers are made by 22 companies at the session 1. Top recruiters such that MICROSOFT, Texas Instrument, Bajaj auto, Alphonso , Qualcumm made offers at placement drive of 2020.

IIT MADRAS graduates outsanding students at the UG and PG levels every year. Alumni have a proven track record of professional success and it is expect to keep this going with the 2021-2022 batch. Students are well trained on fundamental concepts and engineering applications by top-notch faculty and staff. In addition to the well-established academic programmes. The placement office at IIT MADRAS serves as a link between two stakeholder : student and valued recruiter.

In this Covid situation, fees are given in three installments. As of category basis, fees structures are different and has refundable fees. Scholarships are given by merit and also category wise. A great financial support are there. College is quite feasible. Job opportunity are given in campus interview. Lots of companies are visited from 2nd year onwards. College has a great education structure with reliable faculty members.

Lots of tech fests are there like Swangam and many more student needy clubs are also present. Library is the perfect place here to study in a calm environment. Inspite of this NPTEL is a great platform conducted by IIT MADRAS itself. Various subjects courses , test series and exams including certificate facility give a student complete study material. Classrooms are well ventilated with proper sunlight and lights and A.C facility. Sports and Extra curricular activities have different zonar to participate and winning not only prizes but also fun learning activities.

Hostel facilities include a garden and a library from which students can borrow books. Every hostel has washing machines, fully equipped sports facilities, music rooms, tech rooms, and television rooms. Most host -level meetings take place in common rooms. The first-year UG students were accommodated in double occupancy style accommodations. The students celebrate festivals such as Holi, Pongal, Onam, Diwali, and New Year's Eve. The hostel night is organized annually for each hostel, where the entire hostel celebrates with food and music.
