College review-Barasat College

I applied for many colleges like Barasat govt College, Barasat College, Dumdum College, Birati College, Kolkata Surendranath College. First of all my class 12th marks was not good. So I selected only Barasat College. Yes, I availed of an OBC quota. Here many OBC candidates can be admitted to various courses like 20 to 25. For the admission process minimum age is 18 and the minimum marks 250 approximately. The first form fill up for admission to the college website and when the admission portal closed 4 to 5 merit lists provide then a verification date also provide. Next, we should another registration on the University portal. No counseling date.

I chose zoology Hons. in this college because here professors teach us great practical lessons including theory. Students in every course mostly 50-200. Teaching methods are so much grateful. In this pandemic situation, online classes are greatly settled. The internal examination also is held here to justify our knowledge. Internal examinations are very easy and so much easy to pass it.

No internship from here. No projects and outcomes to clarify the task or activity for an internship so I cannot write here too much.

Fees are less than other colleges. For every course, the likely cost is 1000-4000. No other fees for union or other. Many scholarships are present in this college. Shikhhashree, Kanyashree, etc. Present in this college and many other scholarships for SC and ST candidates.

The annual fest awesomely occurs here likely the last of the year. Big library and huge no of books and journals present here. Classrooms are greatly modified with CCTV cameras, computers, projectors, lab facilities. No playground but inner games like carom present here. A gym is also here. A social group present by the unions no clubs and no website for students run by students.
