Nice College

I have not applied for any other colleges as I don't have any idea about higher studies after intermediate at that time and therefore I have not decided what to do after doing my intermediate. I have not availed any quota for my admission. Students get admission in two ways either by the JEECUP counselling or by direct admission. It is a private college, therefore marks don't matter at all. I have not done my counselling therefore I don't have any idea about that but I can assure you that there will be no problem during the counselling, but even if you are unable to attend or you miss the counselling, you can get the admission even after the counselling as there are many seats vacant.

Some of my friends were doing the same course from the same college and they told me that this course is a good choice. At the same time my brother also insisted I do this course and also this college is popular in Lucknow, that's why I choose this course. Now, I can say that this course is not bad. If you are hardworking and learns the skills and knowledge in this course, you will get a good job. Talking about the faculty members, there are about 50 faculty members. They are either B.Tech, M.Tech, or Ph.D. holders. Some of them are very friendly and helps us with study-related issues. Some faculty members are strict. Their teaching method is normal and good. They try to make us understand and learn things quickly. Almost every time the course syllabus is completed on time and before the exams. The exams are taken timely as decided by the BTE (U.P). The term exams are easy to pass only if you do the hard work, make the notes on time and go with the syllabus taught in college, and learn on time.

Our college has a very good facility for campus placement. In terms of campus placement, our college has a good rank among other colleges. The students are eligible for on-campus placements during the 6th and 7th semesters. Many companies visit our college like Tata Motors, EPL Ltd, Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd, The India Thermit Corporation Ltd, Myntra, Bajaj Auto Ltd, Layam Group, Wipro, Hollister Medical Equipments Pvt Ltd. About 20-30% of students get the placements, who are talented, have skills, and are hard-working. I am also planning to get the placement and therefore I am working hard, learning everything whatever we are taught, so as to improve my chance of getting placement.

I am a 2nd year (4th semester) student, my fees are about 40,000 per year. Till now I have not noticed any hike in my fees. However, there are some additional fines to be paid like, a late fine for not paying the fees on time, low attendance fine if our attendance is less than 70% in order to get Admit Card and some other fines. The fine amount depends on the college, it becomes about 3-4 thousand extra fees after the total fees. Some scholarships are available in our college which is given by the government like from the national scholarship portal state welfare department etc. The scholarship amounts are not fixed it depends on the government. From the State Welfare Departments, we get 22,000 rupees for the OBC category and 30,000 rupees for the General, and 12,000 for Muslim students. It rarely provides any financial assistance from the college itself to any student. There are on campus placement offered by the college from which we gets our job. The stipend or salary depends on the company.

Many annual functions are organized in our college like Ullas Annual Games, Ullas Annual Function, etc. Many special events are also celebrated like Freshers Party, Farewell Party, Teachers Day Children's Day, etc. Our college has a very good library. It has all the essential books and journals which are required for the students. However many of us either buy the books from the market or borrow s it from our seniors as it is available with us for every time. We have got very good classrooms and it has all the essential facilities for teaching. Many sports and extracurricular activities like cricket, carrom board, chess, football, volleyball, etc are available in our college.
