JSS College Review

I applied to NIT Jalandhar and did not attend because it was not offering the course i needed and it was a little far away. I got the OBC and the Armed Forces Quota in the UPSEE examination. The round one cut off for the general category for the computer science department was around 700 The admission process was really swift and hassle-free. You have to deliver all your id proofs, marksheets, transfer certificates and other necessary documents

I always wanted to work with computers, being passionate about this led me to choose this course The faculty in JSS is sufficient and helpful. All of the teachers are highly experienced and have a long history of teaching. They also help with issues that are related to not just the curricular and college syllabus.

Comapnies like Accenture / Mindtree, Altos, Wipro, Cognizant, Hive Minds, Adobe, Goomo, Accolite, Jusspay, etc. These companies offer both jobs and internships. Sometimes people get a job after their internship in a company based on their performance. The stipend depends on the type of job profile. The college encourages students to work on projects that would help them in placements and jobs. The curricular is also very well related to the actual work people do in their jobs.

In the 6th semester, the students can apply for on-campus placements. The on campus placements are good and various companies visit the college. Students can also apply for higher studies after college and prepare for other competitive exams. Different companies like Accenture / Mindtree, Altos, Adobe, Wipro, Hive Minds, Juspay, etc. These companies offered packages ranging from 3.5Lpa to 40.0Lpa. almost 80-90% of students who apply for placements got placed. Other students can opt for different courses and go for higher studies or other competitive exams. Since college is in Noida, which is the technical hub, so a lot of companies visit to pick students for jobs.

The fee structure is simple and very inexpensive in comparison to other colleges. The hostel accomodation is also not expensive either. The fees for CSE is around 1.2L which could vary by a little amount depending on the year. There has been no such hike in college fees, although it should be noted that fee structure could be different from what it was 5 years back. JSS is affiliated with AKTU, and it provides Scholarships and Fee Waiver programs for students who are financially not very strong. Anyone matching the criteria can apply for the scholarship programs. The financial assistance is within the college campus and is very well maintained and helpful. Being situated in Noida, the college welcomes quite a variety of companies for on-campus placements and the average package in the year 2018 was around 4-5 LPA

The fests in JSS have always been one of the highlights, the yearly fest Zealicon is filled with various activities and in which students can participate or be a part of the organizing committee. There are various technical and nontechnical clubs which include dance, music, designing, programming, robotics etc. The tech fests are conducted throughout the year by various societies. All kinds of curriculum books and all the other books are readily available in the college Library. Different journals, papers, newspapers can be accessed by students with ease. The classrooms are well equipped with good furniture and all the other facilities The sports fests are also one of the highlights of college life in jss There are big grounds and parks within the college and other malls nearby the college The student societies have their own websites for their own clubs which are helpful and informative.
