My College

I applied to St Xavier's Ranchi, and Heritage College Kolkata I wasn't selected for Ranchi but I got selected for heritage but as I mentioned earlier it got late and I've already taken admission in St Joseph College Vishakapatnam.

I choose this course because I wanted to study literature. Also because st joseph was offering me, majors, in English, psychology and journalism. The faculty of English was really good and there was a total of 120 students in my department.

In the 3rd year after our 5th semester, the campus used to come and sort of PI, as well as GD rounds, were to be taken in the college itself. Tech Mahindra, Concentrix and few others came. 20,000 per month was the highest they were offering at that time for my department. There were quite a few students who actually appeared for the interview round so whoever was going they were getting selected. I decided to do masters in mass communication but then this pandemic happen to be and I saw my cousins working and earning so I decided to work because anyways I have to start with the initials so why not now.

The total fees were 60,000. The fee per annum is 20,000 which means 10,000 per semester so there was a total of 6 semesters. I didn't get any scholarship but yaa I cleared the PI round which was a direct way to get admission in the college and later got a call for the selection and also for the further admission process.

It was pretty good. the ground the area was all spacious also there was football, basketball court in the college where I use to hang out and chill out with my group. Once a year the fest was conducted and it was named Zest which was an intra college event. There were a lot and lots of books in the library of all the genre. The football and basketball tournament was conducted in our college ground only and apart from this there were a lot and lots of activity which was conducted on a daily basis like a treasure hunt, dance, singing, solve the puzzle, quiz competition etc. There was a journalism club, learner's club, minds cope club, BA fusion club and many more.

In the interview round I was asked to give a self-introduction also they asked to give a reason why I choose that college and bachelors in English with the combo of journalism and psychology. The process was really simple there was an HR who called me before the PI round and scheduled my timing and after it was done I got a call from her only that m selected and can now take admission in the college. I prepared it by reading novels and also by looking at some of the interview round questions on youtube.
