Remarks

Every College has some good points and some bad points. Good Points about IMT Nagpur 1) It is having experienced faculties. 2) It is having a large alumni base which eventually helps a student studying in the college. 3) It is having a 27 acres campus which helps a student to get good exposure and also helps him enjoy his college life. 4) It is a student-driven campus so there are many in-house activities going on on the campus which helps a student to get good exposure and good experience of his MBA. Admission Process It was a simple process I had an interview and a group task in March 2020 in Xaviers College Mumbai One of the main reasons I chose IMT Nagpur was because of the brand name it is having and also I was being awarded a scholarship of 65% of the whole piece which made me take this decision in this covid scenario.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum is almost similar to that of IIM's. Likewise, IIM's Tri semester system is followed in IMT which makes the student engaged all over the year. The faculty members are also experienced with a lot of experience behind them. Yes IMT Nagpur is not a big name right now but with the efforts of the faculties and the activities that happen on the campus in the upcoming years, it will be known all over the country.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Internships opportunities are good for marketing students they get placed easily but it is very difficult for the finance students to get their SIP's sorted. They all have to struggle a lot for getting their internships sorted.

Placement Experience

3

The placements are average in IMT Nagpur. Being a Tier 2 college the placements average is around 7 lakhs per annum but the placement team is working hard on the students to get them placed in good companies

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for a normal candidate is 12.1 Lakhs. But in IMT many other scholarships are provided. I am a student with a scholarship. The fee that I am paying is 4.75 Lakhs. I got the scholarship by scoring 90 percentile above in CAT 2019. Due to the score, my fee was reduced by 65%. Apart from these many other scholarships are provided to the students after the first year also.

Campus Life

5

Due to this covid outbreak, I was not able to go to college for a long time. I went to college for just two months but these two months are some of the best days of my college life. The environment on the campus is so so good. It is a 28 acres campus with a cricket and football ground; basketball, volleyball, and badminton court; gym, etc. The hotel facility is also good with well-maintained washrooms. We are having a huge library and the campus is having wifi all over the campus. The campus is worth living in.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facility is really good with 24 hr running water and a well-maintained washroom. The rooms are also good and I have never seen any electricity failure on the campus. The hostel fee is already included in 12.1 lakhs of the fee.

Interview Experience

5

Yes. My interview process has two rounds. 1) Group exercise: In this, we were divided into a team of 12 members and were ask to do an activity of doing a campaign. 2) Personal Interview: In this, I was asked basic questions about work ex and graduation and my future plans.

Placement Experience:

The average Lpa of the college is 9 lpa so it is good. Marketing gets 100% placement as compared to other streams. There is booth on campus and off campus placement. And the placement cells bring good companies and there are chances of PPO also.

College management is not that good, which I felt is need to be improved. making everything student centric makes it difficult for students as well as college to be organised.

We learned a lot from the curriculum and the college itself. My journey was a mixed bag of feelings with many sweet and sour moments. The classroom sessions were fun and so were the field visits and management activities like webinars or mock marketing competitions.

The university gives you a great exposure to shape up your life for a great future. There's absolutely no racism and everyone is treated equally. This is the only institute in pune where girls and boys are found in almost equal numbers. In fact girls are encouraged to become entrepreneurs.
