Remarks
Doon is regarded as one of the best business college to study. It ranks among top 10 b-schools in India. I always wished to study here because of it being highly prestigious. It also ranks 2nd best in India for future oreintation. The admission process is based on merit. It is then followed by group discussion and personal interview only after which I got lucky enough to get shortlisted. I also had to go through counselling sessions and career guidance. For the admission fees, I paid 750 rs and I applied from the official college site. I took up this course because of the jobs it offers in various sectors like banking and finance, sales, recruitment and in the corporates as well.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was very good. The class was conducted through PPT. We had smart classes so the burden of carrying the books to college was not there. The college library provided us with additional books for reference. The department faculty professors were all very experienced teachers. All my professors were PHD holders with a minimum teaching experience of 12 years. The course was a 3 year programme and it was all semester based. Our exams consisted of internal and as well as external.
Placement Experience
The college has a very good placement rate. It has links with various finance, MNC and IT companies. Some of the top recuiters are Amazon, SAGE, infosys, Royal Bank of scotland, Max new tork. I sat for my placement during the final semester and I got to work for Byju's. The package that they were offering me were good as well. In the two months of my training i was provided with twenty five thousand as my stipend and after getting a full time job after my training I got a package of 10 lakhs per annum.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total cost to study here would amount to 5 lakhs in total when included extra charges are included as well. My fees were to be paid semester wise. During the 1st year i also paid an extra amount of twenty thousand as an admission fee. This was non refundable. I also paid and amount of 7500 during my third semester. This was the security fee and it was refundable.However there are no on campus jobs available but we did have scholarships. the scholarships were given from 2nd semester onwards. It was based on merit and performance includinng good behaviour and good class attendence.
Campus Life
Bazm is the annual college fest that takes place every year. In it, colleges from all part of the country come and take part in events like dance, photography, fashion and music. It also has cafeterias and libraries for books. The infracture too is very beautiful with a 52 acre campus. It has all the facilities availabe.The campus also has playgrounds and courts for sporting activities. Overall it was a great experience.
