Sinhgad College of Engineering was one of the best colleges of my time. In 2018 Sinhgad was awarded for the most number of placements. I chose this college due to its reputation and placement records. If you really want to study and get knowledge, then Sinhgad is the right place. The teaching staff is really good, and they are very helpful. The Admission process is fully based on the merit list of MH CET. The eligible ones can directly visit College Office for admission. One of the most important points for preferring this college over other colleges in the regular lectures. The college is very strict about attendance and regular lectures.
Course Curriculum Overview
Computer Science and IT students had good placement records and I was interested in the Computer Science Engineering field this made me choose the Computer Science stream. There are 3 Divisions for this Course and each has a maximum capacity of 90 students. There are about 25 faculty members which are very experienced and intelligent. The exam pattern is pre decided by the University of Pune. There are two insem exams and one end semester exam. The duration for each semester is about 4-5 months. Most of the question in end semester exam is from previous years question papers. It is pretty easy for the average student to pass the exams.
Placement Experience
From the end of the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Various top companies like JTP, Accenture, TCS visits college for the recruitment. The highest package offered was 33 lakhs and the average package is 12 lakhs
Fees and Financial Aid
First year fees used to be 1,25,000 for the general category students and 1,16,000 each for the second, third and final year. There are various scholarships available for the other categories of students. I’m currently studying in my third year so I haven’t got any job opportunity till now.
Campus Life
Sinhgad Karandak is the largest annual fest and it usually takes place in January or February. The college has a very huge library consisting of 3-4 floors. Every book related to courses offered in the college is available in the library. The classroom has desk benches, fans, tube lights and a projector. College also has and cricket ground in which an annual sports competition takes place.
