Remarks

Good as compared to other institutes. And also fee struct is low compare to other institutes. They choose their candidates through entrance exams, group discussions, and lastly personal interviews. All professors are also very good and helpful for their students.

There are many courses Bachelor degrees and master degrees. Higher secondary. Bachelor Degree stream only commerce and Masters degrees have commerce, business studies and another course like PGDCA for computer master degree.

Course Fees: INR 177000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Yes, I done 2 internships. In internships, they don't gave any stipend. My 2 internships are based on firstly HR projects like office's indoor works. And secondly based on Marketing means field job to know the market competition sells etc.

Placement Experience

3rd-semester students are eligible for placement. Companies like Axis bank, HDFC bank, ICICI bank, Insurance companies, Asian Paints, Karvy stock, StarCement, Dalmia, ITC etc companies are offered packages for freshers.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are available by only castes and also through student's scores. Course fee structures are quite little compared tp others institutes. Every kind of family can effort. Job campus also provided.

Yes, all types of books with maximum quantity are available in the library. Yes, they provide an annual fest every year. Fest is also conducted every year. In the classroom, they provide very well. Sports extra-curriculum includes into the annual fest.

Interview Experience

Yes, I faced their entrance, group discussion, and personal interview. These GD topics are related to the current situation and also related to the particular courses. Entrance exams like maths, reasoning, english, gk or current affairs. Interview questions also related to current situations.

Overall experience was good.

Placement Experience:

The placement at college was good. The maximum package offered was 12.5 by Federal Bank and the mimimum was 2.5 by ICIC bank. The average package was 5.5. I got a placement offer from Collegedunia and I am very happy to got placed.

A look at TU for MBA program

Admission:

Once I applied to TU with my MAT score I was asked to come to the university for the GD and PI round. My GD round went for 15 minutes and we were given the topic about GST. In my PI round questions were asked about all my background activities besides academics, my reasons for choosing this course etc. Various mock interviews online helped me a lot while preparing for this round.

LIFE at TU

Remarks:

The MBA admissions are merit based. The basic eligibility was graduation with 50% marks and a CAT score. TU also conducted an interview and a counselling session once I was shortlisted. TU is a central university under the government, so they offer quality education for very less fees. This was the major reason for joining TU.

Placement Experience:

From the second year, our campus placements had begun some of the companies are as follows. ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, SBI Life Insurance, Asian Paints, Federal Bank, HDFC AMC, Vishal Mega Mart, etc. The highest package was around 7.5 lakh and the average was around 3 4 lakh. Only 3 or 5 students didn't get placed and some opted out for placements to pursue their entrepreneur journey.

I applied to a lot of other colleges but those were all backup for me if I didn't get admission here . I applied in dispur college , kc das commerce college , guwahati college etc . We are admitted to colleges here using the samarth website. There are two merit lists provided by each college in the samarth website. I wasn't selected in the 1st merit list in gcc which ofcourse scared me a bit , but I got my names in the other previously mentioned colleges but I wanted to wait for the second merit list for which I had to hear a lot like what if I didn't even get my name on the second list of gcc . But I was sure I would get because my percentage was just 0.4% short from the cut off of the last merit list . I wanted this college because of emotional attachments + gcc has one of the best merits among all the commerce colleges in the entire northeast . Even this year in the toppers list published by gauhati university, 9 out of 10 students were from Gcc itself...Read More

I've applied to many other colleges in Guwahati city like KC DAS commerce College , Dispur College, but I have choosed this college at last, because this college is also known as the best college in the entire Northeast, so I have chooses this college.
