Remarks

Well, I have mixed remarks about my college and management. Most of it contributes towards postive remarks. Rules are strict in terms of college timings, examination, lecturers, attendance etc. which is a positive sign, Management was good in terms of with safety, security, maintenance etc. College having good academic structure with trimester and small course, so that we get benefit out of it. Bad part being some of the students being partially getting benefit because of contacts.

Entrance Preview

MHCET - Maharashtra CET 96 percentile I opted the PGDM Business design course here and most beneficial part of this is purely an industrial experimental course. where most of the professor are most industry. The exams happen as a pratical project with some industry partner. We went through 2 written examination and 2 interviews. (2 examination was 1 cet and another physcological test) 2 rounds of interview - 1 generic and 1 specific to the course stream business design.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Most beautiful which i like and which i feel like using in my day to day work is - because of curriculum 1st year was generic and it gives all basic knowledge of all the fields 2nd year was your specific course - choose your best prefered area and if you feel that this is my interest and most importantly it is not only bookish knowledge, we were given practical examination. We needed to go to field and come out with field surveys and real life solutions.

Internships Opportunities

Yes - no. I would say both because 1st year i saw students and interns coming from Sweden and our students going to their college as student exchange program. This we didn't saw in next year (2nd year) so i have said no.But that student exchange program gave us lot of experience and lot of learnings.

Placement Experience

3.5

I would say internship and job opportunities are both good. (I would not say best, but yes good and decent ones). Since internships can be managed by everyone, so i would directly jump on placements - because that is most important we got all major IT companies like Deloitte, Infosys, Wipro, KPMG etc., we got retail companies croma, we got telecom also - Airtel, Banks include Kotak, ING,etc, Other company includes Medall, Mercedes, BMW, Dell, Neilsen, CBRE, etc.

College Events

3.5

Technical fest - We celebrated technical fest where we got engaged into coding, UI development and many more. Cultural events - We celebrated all the festivals like Diwali, holi, and specailly navratr management festival we did lot of events and one big management fest. We did an innovation competition (INNOWE) and all the big colleges participated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

During my period fees was very much affordable and comfortable we paid 5 lakhs tution fees and 1.3 lakhs hostels fees. The advantage is that we dont have to pay fees all togehter, it is 4 equal installment and in 2 years, so every 6 months we have to pay the fees. This includes books, CD's, curriculam books, novels, management books and many more. Fees can be paid by any means and at any location (Mumbai and Bangalore).

Fees and Financial Aid

I didnt availed any loan facility and neither i got scholarship. But yes there is loan facility by college which is tied up with ICICI bank. It was a easy way to get it. There were friends from my batch who availed this. WE also had scholarship from our college but none of batchmate was eligible. But we had 2 students from Mumbai campus who got this and the complete tution fees was waved of.

Campus Life

3.5

I being a person going very deep in extracurricular activities - spent a lot of time in college campus itself - rather than in hostel. Day night we used to work for those activities (Innovation competition, gamings, festivals, social events, festive celebrations etc.) We had a computer lab - i would say excellent with up to date softwares. We had a library which had almost all research papers - we were equipped with digital library as well. Gender ratio was 60/40 (Boys and Girls). Well diversity which i loved the most. We had students from North east, Jammu and Kashmir, South India, Local Bangaloreans etc. We had round tables and marketing confluences which brings lot of corporates to our college. I would says I experienced a lot of value based learning in my tenure.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel - I would say - it was 3 star hotel. If given a chance I would like to stay there during my work period as well. It was twin sharing with fully furnished room. We were having wifi facility, drinking water was supplied in the room, room cleaning was done every day. 24 hrs hot water facility with decent bathrooms. Lobby area was spacious and entire floor was designed in a much better way. We had swimming pool, basket ball court, small area for cricket, table tennis tables, carrom etc. Special birthday celebration zone, party area. If your family is about to visit, we can plan for that as well, with a 1 bhk facility. Mess good - Well it is not in line with hostel quality, but manageable. spread was good. Breakfast was good but lunch and dinner is not that good. Evening snacks are delicious. Overall we can manage.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is not that strong, but yes the network is well established and every year we come for a get together at both the campus. Senior students are really helpful during the occasions. We have good platforms for connecting with each other, but use is very much less.

Exam Structure

Our college follows trimester structure of examination with covering almost all areas of a corporate world. Like IT, Retail, Manufacturing, finance, corporate decision making, organizational structure, etc. We mostly experienced practical examinations and field surveys which helped us gain lots of industry knowledge every trimester has 6 paper spanning across all areas so in each trimester has 6 papers of same areas but in increasing knowledge order. so in 2 years you will be well versed with entire study.

Admission

Notification was in local newspaper and majorily in all leading newspapers. I got to know, because i was following this collage on their website and admission form was to be collected from college itself. After filling the form, we need to submit with all the academic certificates (attested once) and along with CET score mark sheet. Once my form was shortlisted i got sms and even mails for interview and all the procedure was in mail. Once we had attended examination and interview, we were given written notification with proper details on evaluation and next dates. Shortlisting list dates were announced in regular intervals and messages were sent with mail.

Faculty

4

The most important part for any organization. Faculty are levers of your education part. I was damn lucky in this part. 90% faculty were from industry. I remember faculties were from Siemens, Infosys, Wipro, HP, 3m, HCL, Croma, etc we had faculties teaching us new trends in technology, new retail areas, investment banking schemes, grass root innovations, business simulations, real life scenarios etc.
