Remarks
This is one of the 3 colleges under Assam Agricultural University that offers BSc (Hons) Agriculture. The course offered as well as closeness to my hometown made me choose this college. Also, I was in contact with an alumni of this college which helped me gain confidence over my choice.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is based on the curriculum prescribed by the ICAR. It has all the required faculties from various departments like plant pathology, crop physiology, entomology, extension education etc to name a few.
Placement Experience
Students after passing out are eligible for jobs in govt sector like ADO, AFO, banking sector, ARS etc. Students can also apply for jobs other than Agriculture sector including civil services.
College Events
Campus life is more or less vibrant and joyful. Several occasions happen from time to time such as college week, fresher's day, farewell day, teachers day, foundation day, nss week etc where students get chance to show their extra curricular activities and talents. Educational seminars and trainings, Krishi mela etc are also held.
Campus Life
The infrastructure of this college is modern and newly built. It has smart classrooms laboratories for each and every department and also open land area for practical works. The hostel facilities are also up to the mark. It also has library, playground, gymnesium, staff quarters with 24x7 electric supply.
Hostel Facilities
The college is completely residential and all students stay in the hostels itself. There are separate hostels for boys and girls with 2 seater rooms, mess, indoor games area, clean bathrooms and spacious lobby.
