Remarks
It's the first college that gave me a seat after KEAM honestly. It's a well reputed college as well. It's not far from home either. Took electronics and communication because I didn't get computer science. I'd heard that ECE students had many opportunities in the same fields as computer science students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The best part about our college is the people. All of my seniors and each member of the faculty are so dedicated towards the betterment of the college they belong to. Our course syllabus is always up to date. We are encouraged constantly. There is student committee set up so that the students can voice their concerns to the faculty in charge of the class. Each batch is assigned a senior advisor. I was lucky enough to have an amazing senior advisor who would go to any length to make sure that her students are doing well.
Placement Experience
As a first year, I'm not as knowledgeable. However TKM is very highly reputed for having high number of placements.
College Events
Like I've mentioned before,our seniors are nothing short of amazing. There are so many organisations that put up various events with specific themes in mind. We've had film festivals. We've had a social awareness event bringing in specially abled kids for a day and speakers from various backgrounds. A blood donation drive has been conducted. A stem cell donation drive has been conducted. There is even a Model UN committee.
Fees and Financial Aid
I gained a seat due to merit. I was given a fee reduction due to my being an Other Backward Christian member
Campus Life
Though the campus overall is quite small, it should not be underestimated. We are told that the electronics lab by itself contains equipment worth crores. We have courts for badminton, volleyball and basketball. There are libraries with study materials and references provided for each department.
Hostel Facilities
My hostel is a hostel which is walkable distance from the college. Fees are reasonable. Personally,I love the food served there. Each room usually houses four people with two bunk beds. However for a higher fee, you can avail a bed and share it with only one or two other roommates with an attached bathroom. Our hostel comprises only the first year girls especially to discourage ragging.
