Remarks

Yeah, there are always good and bad views on everything. Good thing is that college had 2 buses for transportation of students who wanted bus facility. Bad thing is that those two buses had broken down 1 year ago and is still lying in the shed. The price of books have been increased by the management. But the borrowing facility from library has been expanded to the limit of taking 6 books at a time, which is a good thing.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is excellent and there are extra subjects which would help us to have an insight into management studies, in case we wanted to initiate a startup company. All the courses are scheduled with perfect accordance and vigor. In the first year, we are given subjects from every course, so that we have a clear idea on each course and in the second year, we are given a choice to reconsider our branch, in case we wanted to change our branch.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement is very excellent here and the number of placed students are very high every year. The placement training unit is very efficient, thanks to Nandan sir(placement officer). We are assigned placement trainings from 3 Rd year itself so that no student will fail in the placement procedure.

College Events

1.5

Many events are celebrated in this college. There is an intra college fest called yavanika, union day celebration, technical fest for each department and an inter college fest, yagna dhruva which is the most awaited event in our college. It is the most awaited program because proshows by famous celebrities are scheduled and the prize money for each event is very high compared to other fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Students who obtain high marks in the entrance exam are placed in merit category and their fees is low compared to those who got admission in the management category. There is also NRI category admission for those from outside India. Although the tuition fees is not compatible with the quality of teaching, yes, it is low compared to other private institutions.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed any scholarship or loan. But I can give some details. One of my close friends has availed a scholarship because she got high marks in 12 th grade and because she if of the OEC category.

Campus Life

Since this is a women's college, I cannot say anything about gender ratio here. The encouragement for extracurricular activities like dancing, singing and artistic events are very poor in this college. All the students are supposed to concentrate on studies only. Since ktu has introduced yearback system, students are urged to participate in their college events for the sake of obtaining ktu credits, not the genuine encouragement for arts.

Hostel Facilities

I have never opted for hostel but I know quite more about the college hostel. I have some of my classmates who are staying in hostel. The hostel seats are few. The rooms are okay. The food here is not much attractive. The water sources also are not trust-able. Many have complained that sometimes there is a smell of overchlorination in water. The food in the mess sometimes is very pitiable compared to the fees charged for mess.

Alumni/Alumna

There are photos and description of alumni students who got placed in the noticeboard of our college entrance. Some of them have moved on to become more famous individuals, which are also stuck as pictures in the noticeboard. Other than that, no comments on our seniors and alumni.

Admission

I got admission to this college through the Kerala Entrance examination (KEAM). I kept this college first in my preference list of allotment and then I got all the allotments to this college only. After the second allotment I was asked to report to the college with my original documents of birth certificate, my 10 th pass certificate and 12 th pass certificate. Then we were asked to pay the fees for admission.

Faculty

1

The faculty of this college is the only thing that disappointed me. None of them are student-friendly. All the teachers here(especially the female staff) treat the students with extreme disrespect and scorn. Some female staffs in high positions treat students with extreme scorn and students cannot report this to anyone in fear of their future studies and internals.

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the.
