Remarks

Fulfilling my dream Out all the private colleges in Uttar Pradesh, this is the best and clearly stands out. Pros: 1) Hostel- Twin sharing, attached bathroom with AC. Very spacious. Very protective for girls. My room is the best part of my college life. It feels like a home away from home 2) Mess- Hygienic and loaded with taste, unlike other colleges 3) Faculty- Top notch. Very knowledgeable and helpful professor who diligently work hard for students 4)Library- Well stocked, 3 floored with personal reading rooms also 5)Recreational- Badminton, football, basketball, volleyball grounds are there. Many Cafeterias also there inside and outside campus 6)Patient flow adequate Cons: Management is quite strict and oblivious towards students. Some rules are very strict which can be a good or bad, based on personal experience. Admissions occurs through NEET- UG exam. Listed amongst "Top 25 colleges of UP" according to Wikipedia. If going for private college in UP, then ideal choice.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course and curriculum here is followed as directed by MCI. The faculty is very helpful, especially during initial two years. All the professors are well experienced and are from reputed colleges like KGMU, SNMC, LLRM. Methodological and conceptual teaching mode is adopted. Although, during last two years, you have to make an effort to learn from teachers. They will teach only if you are interested. Exams are taken timely and it can be a bit hectic to deal with in the start. But that's what medical life is about. To deal with daily challenges with expertise. Student ratio mostly favours girls, but there isn't any inequality on the basis of that. Harmonious living with conditions.

Internships Opportunities

0.5

The internship offers ?7500 per month to students as fixed by state government. But I'm highly disappointed with this as it is even less than a daily wage worker. Although patient flow is adequate enough, so if you are not concerned about your salary, work here. Or else do internship from any other state.

Placement Experience

0.5

No campus placement occurs in any of the Medical Colleges. My plan after getting a degree here is going for PG.

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a private college so definitely fees is quite high. Tuition fees is regulated by government which is around 10.5Lc/year. After including hostel, mess and other charges, it rounds up to 14.51Lc/year. Total course fees is approx 67-70Lc. There is a hike of ?25k every year in hostel n mess charges, keeping in mind the inflation. But it is worth it, considering the facilities which are provided, as compared to other private colleges. Stipend for interns is ?7.5k per month which is set by state government. No scholarship or financial assistance present for this college.

Campus Life

3.5

Overall, healthy and harmonious campus life. For recreational sports activities there are football ground, basketball, badminton and volleyball courts, spacious lanes for jogging or walking and hanging out with friends. Many cafeterias are there inside and outside the college. Three habitat centers present in 5km radius of college. It is 8km from main city. Annual College Fest Insomnia is held before Diwali which is a 6 day event filled with various cultural and sports events. Apart from this, Fresher's party, Lohri celebrations are also organized. Library is best here with over 4000 books and journals to read. Opens till 7pm. Spacious, fully AC lecture theatres with comfortable seating and projector based teaching.

Hostel Facilities

5

There are twin sharing hostel with attached bathroom and AC. Very spacious. Each student gets a bed, chair and almirah. There is a common room for all. My room is the best part of my college life as I never lived away from home and here the environment is very homely. Mess food is quite nice with amazing Menu. It is not like other colleges with watery dal or tasteless sabji. Here you get dishes like paw bhaji, chole bhatoore, Paneer-Naan, gulab jamun and what not. Staying away from home can turn out be depressing. Luckily, this college's hostel facility is best in all the matters.

Placement Experience:

During admission we sign an affidavit with UP government to work in rural area for 2 years or else give 10 lakh rupees. If selected for PG bond will continue after PG fir 5 years else 40 lakh fine. Since there is affidavit , UP government will itself provide job to us as MBBS doctors. Most of students appear for NEET PG exam and take admission in allotted college as junior resident. If one cannot clear NEET PG exam, they will either work in clinics and hospitals as MBBS doctors or they will join any college as demonstrators or Lecturers. The students who have completed internship of 1 year after 4.5 years course are eligible to take any job or practice in private. Salary of mbbs doctors in our country is 60-70 thousand monthly. Almost all students get placed in one or other place. I will get my MS and DM degree after mbbs and become a neurosurgeon.
