Remarks

I selected this college because this college is the only college in my locality that have the course B.Pharm. This college also offers other Pharmacy courses like D.Pharm, Pharm.D and M.Pharm. This college is run by North Malabar development society and the college is affiliated to KUHS and approved by PCI.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus for B.Pharm was updated in the year 2017. It was one of the major changes that was implemented because the year system was replaced with semester system. In the 4 year course, there would be a total of 8 semesters. We were not provided with enough industrial exposure.

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 450000 per year

Placement Experience

The job opportunities are as a pharamcist in Clinical pharmacy or in a medical store. There is also job opportunities in the Pharmaceutical companies. Freshers usually works in a local community pharmacy.

College Events

I really enjoyed my campus life. The extra curricular activities and other events have given much importance in our college. We have celebrated many festivals like Onam and Christmas from our college. Our college have also conducted Arts and Sports dat. College day have aslo been conducted in our college. Our college have an auditorium which could fit everyone in the college. All the on stage events are conducted in the college auditorium.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose geography for my graduation because of it was a rare course and only provided by three govt college in Calicut University. It is a good course and it's sub disciplines are very nice to connect with others. Frequency of exams are based on the time duration of finishing the semesters. Usually it's two sem exams in a year and with some other reasons it may get delayed. In course of three years all 6 semesters and it's exams along with project and practical will be finished. Field trip is the main attraction of the course.

SMCSI- A complete review from a budding doctor

Placement Experience:

Placements are not available in the college. After mandatory HS, we are free to find jobs. Many passed out students remain in the college as tutors while preparing for their PG entrances. Some also teach nursing and/or paramedical students. As an MBBS degree is not enough to get a job, everyone plans on joining for PG courses. MBBS degree will only get us as far as a casualty doctor or medical officer in a PMC.

Remarks:

Kannur being one of the tourist attractions and in Kerala which is culturally rich state offers a very homely environment in terms of faculties, admin team. The faculty base is very highly educated and mostly female which shows gender diversity and empowers women of all races and financial background by treating them equally.
