Remarks

Gauhati University is the oldest and one of the most renowned universities in North east India. It is accredited grade A by NAAC. and most importantly it was my childhood dream to study in Gauhati University.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our subject(women's studies) is an interdisciplinary subject. We have learnt many things from this department. The system of Our course is CBCS. The faculties of our department are very friendly. They are like family for us.

There are many job opportunities. Our alumnae, they are working various sector like NGO and they have their own business

The campus life is too good. Our University campus is a vast a campus. They organised many more events. The big event of our University is Varsity week. It is held like a festival. And the 2nd big is the youth festival. And the other is the election and many more things.

A honest Review

Placement Experience:

Here placement is only for Masters students and the placement starts from the final semester, bachelor students do have placement but it comes in the form of fellowships as a teacher post such as teach for India, Gandhi fellowship, and a few more. The highest package was 15 lakhs this year and usually, around 80% get placement.

I have chosen this course because I like this subject and nothing more. The Faculty And Students Ratio Would Be Like 1:40 Which Is Pretty Good And Impressing. The Faculties Are Well Qualified and Kind-Hearted and Friendly. Exams Occurred At Right Time And Very Strictly Managed. Exams Are Quite Easy To Pass.

The MA Programme in English has been designed in such a way that it meets the standard of other national and international universities of repute. The curriculum included 4 course subject per semester. They covered topics ranging from the disciplines of poetry, historic writing, American literature as well as literature review. The course material was vast enough to prepare me for further studies.

My academic experience at University Law College, Gauhati University

Before enrolling myself in ULC, GU it tried to get in to Facuty of Law, Delhi University but because of lack of preparation time as I decided to get myself into studying law very late, I could't clear that particular exam and then to seek for other options I found ULC which has a very rich history of a great alumni base including esteemed Jurists and Lawyers around the country. The admission process includes an examination of 100 marks coducted by Gauhati University which tests students knowledge in various aspects including General Knowlege, English, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning. The cut off for general category students ranges from around 20 to 30 based on the result of other students. I got through this exam scoring 56 with a rank of 5.
