Remarks
I had already completed my chartered accountancy course and wanted to add an additional degree to my qualifications. MBA graduate can avail many career opportunities as well in future. So I wanted to pursue it via distance learning. That is why I chose Symbiosis, it provided me flexibility to choose exam days and slots on my own so I never felt exam pressure and appeared for exams when I was thorough with my syllabus. This is what I love about Symbiosis.
Course Curriculum Overview
My college not only helped my shape academically but mentally as well. I had joined Maitreyi college which is based in Delhi University, South campus but because I wanted to pursue Chartered Accountancy course I had to leave my college and pursued BCOM from School of Open Learning. But I had attended my college lectures for 2 months. We were always taught updated syllabus in classes and were even provided industrial exposure as the college conducted seminars on regular basis and welcomed big companies to have a webinar there in college premises on topics that were of practical significance. We had a good faculty of teachers in college and my most favorite of all was our librarian Mrs Nishi. She always issued quality books to us from library and those books were worth reading.
Internships Opportunities
Yes after graduating i had opted for internship by registering on Internshala which is portal that offers internship to newly graduates.I managed to get internship in ET media labs private ltd in Accounts department.There i worked for 6 months amd learnt a lot.I used to get ₹6000 as stipend there every month.
Placement Experience
The placement was made every year in college premises.So if any student was in 3rd year of his graduation he/she was allowed to attend placement programme.Our college used to invite big firms in their premises to hire students based on interviews.In my time Global Logic India Pvt ltd,EY and KPMG had visited our campus to hire students.They used to offer profiles like HR,Marketing,Sales,Finance to students and used to hire atleast 5 students each year.The placement process was unbiased and smooth.
College Events
Life was fun those days.Our college used to hold inter college fests every year in which different colleges used to come and participate.There used to be theatre,dance performances,singing,games in it.It used to held rangoli making competition as well where students used to make rangolis and the best rangoli was awarded.
Campus Life
Our campus had a big ground to begin with.There used to be greenary all around at all times with beautiful coloured flowers in the gardens.Our college had separate library,study room,sports room,singing room,stationery counter and a theatre.I liked the theatre room the most.In the theatre we used to practice debates before any competition was going to be held in college.It was so much fun.I still cherish those old days.
