Remarks

CMRIT, Bangalore's has increased a lot in the last few years. When I gave my COMEDK exam CMRIT was the college I chose for in the counselling. CMRIT is certainly one of the best VTU affiliated non-autonomous college in Bangalore. And placements are very good too with companies like Deloitte, Wipro, Infosys, VMWare etc regularly selecting people from our college. The location of the campus was also a very important factor I took into consideration while choosing CMRIT virtually at the heart of Bangalore with many companies located very close to the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

CMRIT, Bangalore as I said is one of the best VTU affiliated non-autonomous colleges. From the first day, it was very clearly emphasised that the normal VTU syllabus is a must but some extra preparation is also required to be placement ready. College provides a lot of programs and opportunities for the students to prepare them for the placement interviews and to make sure that the students are job-ready. The TYL courses will help students to acquire the skills required to be eligible for some of the top IT companies in the city. The faculty of CMRIT, Bangalore encourages to students to take up meaningful projects. They are very knowledgeable in their subjects and are ready to support students in anyway they can. It's a big help to students to have such supportive faulty and HODs to materialise their ideas into reality.

Placement Experience

4

Placements season starts for students who have entered the final year of college. The college starts preparing us for placements from the first year with the TYL classes. Most of the students in IT courses are placed. Placement for ECE course is also very good. Placements for civil and mechanical are less in comparison. Average placements packages are around 3-5 lacs with maximum package reaching 24 lacs. I plan to get placement in a good company and then think about higher studies. Some companies that come here for placements are VMware, Deloitte, Infosys, BOSCH etc. More details are available on their website.

Fees and Financial Aid

CMRIT, Bangalore provides all the information on scholarships for students who are interested. Details about the scholarships will be provided to interested students. The fee structure is around 2.2 lakhs per annum including the tuition and the college fees for the COMEDK students and the fees for KCET students is around 83k. College also provides Mtech and MBA courses.

Campus Life

4.5

College campus is smaller than an average engineering college but has all the student's resources required. The library has all the required books for the development of the students and also previous year project reports for student's reference. All the books the students might require throughout the semester are really available in the library. Each class has around 65 students which help the faculty reach each and every one of us. A lot of students clubs and teams are present in the college to help students follow their passion and developed in a positive way. Clubs like coding ninjas, Google DSC, Mozilla Moziety, Geeks for Geeks are also present for students support and development.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The CMRIT hostel is well maintained although it cannot accommodate many students there are also options for students to go for pg and rented apartments near the college. South Indian meals are well made but north indian students might have problem some days due to the difference in taste. The hostel is cleaned regularly and is very sanitary. Single, Double, Triple and Four sharing rooms are available in the hostel with varying prices. Students can focus on studies properly as the environment is very fun and also very helpful for studying.

From 7th semester, students are eligible for internships and placements. The placements over here are good but only if you maintain your cgpa. There are various companies that come to college for placements. Placements for cse and ise are pretty good.

Teaching should be changed actually most of the faculty do the ppt reading. I would say that clad training for placements are really good. They put their effort to make us prepared. Timings would be 3hrs for semester end exam and 2hrs for mid examinations.
