Remarks
This college is one of the two colleges in Kannur district that provides B.pharm course. I chose this college and course because I didn't get an admission for MBBS. I wrote NEET but I wasn't able to score well. So I thought that I should become a Pharmacist. I searched in the internet for details about the colleges that offered B.pharm in Kerala and I found that there was 2 college in Kannur that had this course. Comparing the distance to the college as well as facilities, Crescent college was better than the other one.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus for B.pharm is up-to-date. B.pharm is a 4 years course in which there would be 8 semesters. There would be end semester practical as well as theory exam for each subject. 50% is the minimum percentage that should be achieved in each subject to be passed. There is less senior faculties than junior faculties. The college didn't provide any industrial exposure to us.
Placement Experience
After completing the course, many of them work as a Pharmacist in the local community pharmacy to gain experience. Some graduates would opt for post graduate in Pharmacy. Also some of them would get to work in a hospital pharmacy. But the college doesn't provide any placement for the graduated students. The salary package is very low for pharmacist. The b.pharm graduates also can start a new Pharmacy also.
College Events
The campus life in the college is enjoyable. Our college gives a great importance in extra curricular activities like sports and other special events and festivals like Onam and Christmas. There is also arts day and college day that is held in the college. Almost many of them participates in these events. There is also freshers day that is conducted by the college. Each program is conducted by different batches.
