Remarks

Gauhati University is the oldest and one of the most renowned universities in Northeast India. My childhood dream was to study in this University. Gauhati University is a accredited grade A by National Assessment and accreditation council ( NAAC). That's why I choose Gauhati University.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our syllabus is CBCS I.e, choice based credit system. The department of Women's studies is a very good department. Our syllabus is about Women's perspective. It is a interdisciplinary subject. Our faculties are very Friendly in nature

Class Size: 36Course Fees: INR 6655 per year

Placement Experience

There are many job opportunities like Many students engaged in different NGO'S. They are working for Women's rights, good life for women and many more.

College Events

Varsity week is the big event in our University and the 2nd one is youth festival. Freshers is also held. And sometimes various department organised seminars.Many of the students participate in different activities.

My recalls with Assam women's University

Admission:

My course period for B.A. Psychology in Assam Women's University was relatively decent and leisure. I memorized a bunch of things and got orientation to a new territory assisting me to grow and memorize better. The thing I liked was that the university provided diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate courses for all streams as applied science, arts, technology, industry, commerce, management, and social science. The university also has proper infrastructure.

Remarks:

Firstly, we had to apply for respective departments which one wants to take an honours. Then ,cut off percent is taken out and students are given admission to that department as honours student.

My academic experience at University Law College, Gauhati University

Before enrolling myself in ULC, GU it tried to get in to Facuty of Law, Delhi University but because of lack of preparation time as I decided to get myself into studying law very late, I could't clear that particular exam and then to seek for other options I found ULC which has a very rich history of a great alumni base including esteemed Jurists and Lawyers around the country. The admission process includes an examination of 100 marks coducted by Gauhati University which tests students knowledge in various aspects including General Knowlege, English, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning. The cut off for general category students ranges from around 20 to 30 based on the result of other students. I got through this exam scoring 56 with a rank of 5.
