Remarks

It is the one of the best engineering college in India. And the best engineering college in India.Good Academics.Good CompetitionCET Toppers from Maharashtra comes to this college to pursue engineering.Good Placements record.There are almost 34 clubs in the college which includes technical and non technical clubs.Autonomous College.Extra curricular development.One of the few colleges in India to provide B-tech in Metallurgical Engineering.Therefore I opted for this course.

Course Curriculum Overview

My course curriculum is updated.As everyone is moving towards Python for programming language. Our college made Python course compulsory for First Year students.We have maths subject for all the 8 semesters.We also have Biology compulsory for every second year student.We also have subjects Professional Communication, Professional Ethics, Entrepreneurship development, Environmental studies etc.Atul Patil sir the teacher of the course Professional Communication is one of my favourite.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 190000 per year

Placement is conducted smoothly.Companies from various fields comes to or College for Placements such asCompanies in steel and Ironmaking.Multinational IT companies, Consulting Companies, Automobile companies etvAlumini network is very efficient for job referrals.

College Events

Our College has 4 flagship events.1) MindSpark: It is the technical festivals of our College. The biggest technical fest of Maharashtra after Techfest. It is a 3 days festival and has a footfall of 150002) Regatta: It is unique boat club festival of our College. It is celebrated on the river which is there in our campus. It includes activities such as Rowing, Telematches, Mashal Dance. It is 92 years old festival of our college.3) Zest: It is the sport Festival of our College. It is the fifth largest sport Festival of India. Various students from all over Maharashtra comes to compete in this fest. 30 different sports are held in this fest. It is a 4 day fest and has a footfall of 12000.4) Impression: It is the Cultural Festival of our College. It is a 3 days fest and has a football of 8000.5) Pune Startup Fest: It is the fest started by E-Cell ( Entrepreneurship Cell ) club in which startup in various fields comes to our College and explain their products to students/ visitors. Investors also comes to this fest and invest in the startups.

Fees and Financial Aid

Various scholarships are availed to the students belonging to poor family.Also loan facility is provided by the College.Also Alumni association of our college provides the scholarship for the needy students.

Campus Life

Our campus infrastructure is good.We have Wifi in our whole campus with good Bandwidth with 1GB per day.We have all the sports facilities for every sport. Library size is good.Laboratory equipments are up to date.

Hostel Facilities

The Rent of our Hostel is Rs 30000 per year.Almost 70 % of the College students get the college hostel.Hostel Infrastructure is good.We have very good Internet facility.( Wifi and Lan connection both)We have Gym, stationary store, mess in our hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

My SBS Journey

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

AS FOR PLACEMENT , TNP TRIES REALLY HARD TO GET STUDENT PLACED. MULTIPLE COMPANY VISIT THE CAMPUS. NAMELY INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, COGNIZANT, TCS, CAPEGEMINI, AMDOCS, HCL, TECH MAHINDRA, ETC MULTUPLE APTITUDE ASSESMENT AND CODING ASSESMENT ARE CONDUCTED BY COMPANIES. MANY STUDENT GET PLACED AT AVERAGE OF 4.5 . OFFER ARE LIKE 3LPA, 3,5LPA.4,5LPA, 7LPA, MAX 9LPA OR THIS YEAR BUT STILL IN MY OPNION STUDENT ARE NOT PUTTING ENOUGH EFFORT IN THEIR PLACEMENT DRIVES AND HAVE VERY CASUAL ATTITUDE. SO PERCENTAGE IS AROUND 40% AND I'LL NOT BLAME COLLEGE FOR THIS PERCENTAGE ATLEAST NOT TNP, CUZ FOR SOME REASON STUDENT ARE CLEARING FAILING HERE

They make it so easy to understand and give you so much advice to grow and have great success. Also, this college is just a treasure of other curriculum activities. Once you got to know that they held those kinda functions over these years you can't resist and will participate in those functions. As it the course was difficult but teachers will make it easy they will guide you in any problem that you have and encourage you to learn more skills so you can be more successful.

Currenlty I am in the one of the best college in Maharashtra which u get on your cet marks also you can take the admission through jee marks while taking admission through the online mode of cet the top option i selected was coep and also the cet ranked it as top since the cut off for the cse of general category was 99.78 percentile i don't want to go into another college since i wanted a top college and top college coz my cet score was 99.84 so i applied for top 3 colleges of maharashtra coep,vjti and Walcand where i got the admission in coep in second round through tfws.
