Remarks

The feasibility of fees made me choose. As my father's income wasn't much I wanted to persue course from feasible college but on the same place, i wanted to study from distant land. This college stood on my both request.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus was very much similar to what I learnt basically in 11th and 12th. Like thermodynamics, Newton's etc. For some students it was really a moment of distress as these topics were really difficult but teachers gave their best here.

Placement Experience

4

I don't know about the placement much. As I plan was to do m.sc just after completing my graduation from this college. The placement cell was very active and every year, they invited more and more companies for the placement.

College Events

4.5

The events held here were from all the genre. Every festival of the world was celebrated here with the students and management. My college even had the Halloween party for the hostellers. We had billions of memories from these activities and events.

Campus Life

Infrastructure of the college was good. Basic facilities was available in the campus like hostel for boys and girls, gymnasium, yoga room, cafeteria, common room, sports rooms etc. All these facilities charges were taken by us annually in the fees.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms was shared by the two/three/four students. The rate of the hostel rooms diversed on the basis of how many students are sharing it. In summer, they even provided us cooler with no extra cost

Admission

Admission process was mentioned in the website of theirs which helped me prepare for it which great extent. Here admission process was merit based.

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Gandhi Engineering College (GEC Autonomous), Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Dec 22, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.
