I chose this college because it encourages holistic learning. The course curriculum is based on the practical skills and project work. The campus is also perfect for learning. They provide all the basic facilties to the students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum aimed to improve the design and imagination skills of the students. It is primarily based on the project work and less of theoretical knowledge. The faculties were excellent. They taught us in an easy manner and their teaching also gave us industrial exposure since most of them have worked in highly reputed organisations.
College Events
There are workshops and seminars which are organised from time to time where reputed members of the fashion industry come and enlighten students. Annual fest is also held where students enjoy them to the fullest.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college offers three types of scholarships. Merit Scholarship is offered to the student who scores the highest marks in first semester of the undergraduate degree. 50 percent of the academic fees is given as the scholarship. Jayatee deshmukh scholarship is offered to the girl who scores the highest in the Symbiosis entrance test. Sports scholarship is offered to 5 outstanding sportsperson of the college.
Campus Life
The campus infrastructure was quite good. It had all the basic facilties a student requires. There are a number of labs and studios where students can conduct their practicals. There is a library which is 3400 sq ft wide. There are well furnished and spacious seminar halls and conference halls. There are computer labs which have branded computers and internet facilities.
Admission
In order to get admission in this college,the candidates have to pass through a stringent screening procedure which involves a written entrance test. The candidates who qualify the written test are then called for the studio test and personality test. A sum of rupees 2750 has to deposited while filling the application form online.
