Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum for the M.Sc course is very vast. It is one of the most sought after courses in population sciences in India and it also one of the best ones. The course and institute is excellent and confirms to global standards.

Placement Experience

The faculty at IIPS offer very invaluable advice with regards to career and other areas related to our field. The college has an excellent image in national and international academia so several public and private take interest in hiring IIPS grads.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for the first year of the M.Sc course at IIPS is 20,300 Rupees and for the second year it is 7300 Rupees. This includes all the Certificate fees, Exam fee etc. The Hostel fees per month is just 400 Rs.

Campus Life

The IIPS holds a cultural intra-college competition every year called asUmang and several different artistic and sports competitions are held. The college is very open and accepting to all kinds of people and the experience has been very good.

Admission

Admission is done on the basis of the scores in the entrance exam that is held by the IIPS. The exam consists of objective questions from Basic General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, English Grammar, Basic Mathematics, Population, Health, and Social Science Issues. Process itself is online.

Best was the international trip

Placement Experience:

We have to complete two months internship after our first year after which we can convert these internships into jobs and thus get placed as well. Around 50 percent students are currently placed. We can search for jobs on our own and well go for placements via college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've B.A (Psychology and philosophy) as my course. According to NEP you can do majors in psychology from 2nd year onwards and this will be decided on the basis of your result. Only 1st 90 students will be able to secure psychology seat and out of this 1st 45 students will haved aided course and 2nd half will have unaided course i.e they have to pay more than the 1st half but the faculty would be the same and the class is also same for both the halves. Also the course structure is nice and interesting enough.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. There are campus placements but my seniors are yet to get placed. Since we are secknd batch of data science we don't know much about how is the placement for data science students. There are good placements for bms students. I will be doing master after this degree and won't opt for placements.

Good Institute for population sciences.

The admission process in our college depends upon the results in the last qualifying examination. I got admission in this course after qualifying my Master degree in population education with 70 percent of marks from a recognised university. The minimum eligibility was 55 percent of marks in M.A/M.SC. Students from both the stream are eligible to get admission in this course. After fulfilling the marks requirement, i gave an online test. Admission in this course was based on on online test, written test and personal Interview. To get admission in this course, students have to qualify their Master of Arts with minimum 55 percent of marks from a recognised university. There was 5 percent of relaxation of marks for SC /ST students. Students who qualified their UGC/CSIR - JRF are also eligible to apply for admission in this course.
