Best government college of Orissa for law students

LLB Syllabus is structured in a way that enables the inclusion of every element of law in the three-year study course. The focus is on such areas as Crime, Law studies such as labour, Administrative Law, Code of Civil Procedure, Legal Writings, etc. Overall the course designed is accurate for students. Exam is conducted semester wise.

I have heard from my seniors that there are several private companies that will come to our college every year. Our college offers internships in district court or high court all under government sectors. We get internship in offices such as human rights commission, gender commission, senior citizens' forum or consumer forum. We are not provided any internship but yes we get a lot to learn.

I should say that our college is very good in organizing events. Every festival and puja is celebrated here. After I joined I have celebrated saraswathi puja, Ganesh puja, Independence Day and many more. Annual day, fresher day and farewell party is conducted every year by the students. We also have many competitions and debates. Debates are fun as well as help us to gain knowledge if the subject. The entire debates topic is related to subject.

As it is a government affiliated college the fee is very less. Anyone can afford to pay the amount for each course. For my course the fee is 2500 rupees per annum which is very less. According to me fees is not at all a problem in this college. This fee includes everything, no single penny need to be wasted later.

Sports activities are conducted regularly and our active participation is appreciated by our teachers. We also have many extracurricular activities related to our subject. Each department organizes debates on law topics, moot competition is conducted and creative writing is also organized. Every student participates and wins prizes.

We have two hostel one for boys and other for girls. Each hostel can accommodate 100 students. Hostels are provided on basis of first come basis. PG is available nearby. The hostel has a warden who takes care of the students. All required facilities are provided for the hostel resides. I love my hostel; our management make us feel at home as the food is very good.

Aspirants are expected to fill out the application form on the University website (universitylawcollegebbsr.org) or obtain it from the University office for admission to these courses. Complete the application and submit it to the University Office or courier it with the required documents. Application fee is 600 rupees. Candidates must have passed in either B.A / BSc./B.Com after 12th with an aggregate of 45%. The selection is made on the basis of entrance exam and the previous qualifying exam.

All are faculties are really very good. All are very caring and compassionate and will help in any situation. They explain us scenarios and experiences of their life which help us to gain more knowledge how to handle a particular situation whenever confronted in the future. The faculties work as a team and impart their responsibilities very well.
