Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum for M.Sc in Biostatistics cover various aspects of statistic and biology and describe their relation and their interdependence. The duration of the course is 2 years and is further divided into 4 semesters in which students have to take the examination and give practical.

Placement Experience

The internship and placement cell of our college is very active and bring new companies every year for campus recruitment. The college provides a number of opportunities for the students by organizing fairs and various other events and therefore is one of the best medical colleges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for the course of M.Sc (Biostatistics) is Rs. 24,100 for the first year and Rs. 19,100 for the second year making a sum total of Rs. 43,200 that can also be paid in the beginning of the semester as a whole. The fee structure is very reasonable for a top medical college like this.

Campus Life

The college has been ranked the 4th best medical college according to NIRF Ranking 2020. The facilities and faculty of the college are extraordinary and the students from various backgrounds come to study here. Thus, the environment here is very inclusive and motivating.

Admission

I am currently doing M.Sc in Biostatistics course from NIMHANS and the eligibility criteria to get an admission in this course is to have a bachelor?s degree in either mathematics or statistics with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks. The students will then have to appear for NIMHANS Entrance Examination followed by an interview on the basis of which they will finally get selected.

Faculty

The faculty of the college has a high degree of experience in the teaching line and are Ph.D holders. Our department teachers are very helpful and motivate us to work hard and do well in our exams and even in other co-curricular activities and are very understanding.

MIT Manipal's Student Plaza is amazing!

Placement Experience:

MIT Manipal Placements starts at around 6th semester as atleast the training and all starts. So final interviews and all starts for us in the 7th semester and before entering 8th or the final semester most of the placements are already done. I still wants to pursue masters as our university has tie-ups with American universities and our course skills can be bettered with masters is what I feel.

MIT Manipal boast a night life worth spending!

Placement Experience:

Around 47 students in our course and in 2025 36 of them were placed and rest I don't think even applied as jobs were definitely available. Infosys, Polaris and others who are now world famous for building cyber security systems were at MIT Manipal to hire students.

5 month into the cmrit how it unfoleds for the freshers

Placement Experience:

the placements oppurtunity are there and you can grab a very good paackage from here. The highest is around 44 , average is 7 lpa. Students become eligible for final placemnts from 6-7 semester. Companies like thermo fisches , fractal , belc , hitachi and many other, have visited. The percentage of placemnt is quite high but people grabbing more than 30lpa is very few. after degree i want to go for job directly.
