Course Curriculum Overview
It is a five year dual degree course which mainly focuses on administrative law and its applications.The subjects of B.A relate to history, economics, sociology, political science etc and law subjects such as labor law, family law, criminal law, tax & corporate law, patent law etc.The focus is not on theoretical teaching but also various case studies, moot court sessions, mock drills and training sessions so that the students focus more on the practical application of law in reality and further its dynamics.
Placement Experience
The job areas for BA. LLB are in judiciary, banks, MNCs, teaching profession, Excise & sales departments, business consultancies and many more. The starting salary ranges from 4 to 5 lpa and it can go up to 16 lpa. The job roles offered to my batch mates were assistant advisory, management accountant, attorney general, legal adviser, human resource manger etc. Internships in courts, under famous lawyer were offered to students. I don't know the exact amount of stipend that was offered.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total for one year is 75,000. The fees is quite nominal as compared to the other colleges. A one time admission fees is to be paid at the beginning of the college. Caution deposit money, library charges, exam fees, maintenance charges and hostel/mess fees are to be paid separately.
Fees and Financial Aid
If the students secure an AIR 30 in the said examination , they are granted 50% tuition wavier. The college is aided with 50% seats which is provided by the Maharashtra government. Student can also take bank loan from any bank but preferably SBI for educational purposes. The economically backward sections are also given some fee concession if there parents income is less than 2 lpa.
Campus Life
Intra college moot competition is held till three years of the course where there are three rounds - pre, semi and final. The winner of all the rounds would claim the trophy. Workshops on mooting skills were organised such as "Effective communication", fact management, data structuring, fundamentals of public speaking and tools used to refute arguments. NLC cultural organizes a wide range of activities such as theater, drama , regional dances etc.Sports nexus and sport management committee of the college organises sports tournaments like football, cricket, badminton, kabaddi, chess etc at both the intra college and inter college level.
Admission
Apply online for this college and the course you are seeking admission in. 45% marks are required in the 12th standard from a recognized university. 40% is the case for the reserved category. The maximum age for general candidates is 20 years while there is three years of relaxation for SC/ST/OBC category. Moreover a entrance exam is conducted by BVPU, Pune and a merit list is prepared on the marks obtained. If you meet the minimum criteria and clear the cut off you will be called for a counselling round and granted admission.
Faculty
The teachers are well trained in their selective teaching course. Their techniques and concepts are so amazing that the student can get a hold of subject at one time only. The teachers are always ready to help the students if they are facing any difficulty.Guest lecturers are also there to there to tell us more about types of law and their applications. I would rate the teaching staff as 4/5.
