Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was a one year course comprising of two semester. The curriculum focuses on the technical knowledge related to the field of Marine Engineering. The curriculum includes production, design, functioning and maintenance of marine equipment and its operations. The curriculum was designed to focus on theoretical and practical in marine and mechanical engineering. Examinations are conducted in both the semester.
Placement Experience
The institute has a very good placement cell which takes care of things related to placement. Internship was there for the students of final year. Placement and job opportunities was very good in our institute. Most of the students got recruited in the campus interview with secured job and good package. There are many job opportunities in the field of Indian Navy, public and private marine based shipping companies, Research Institutions etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees of the one year course was around 3,75000 lakh rupees. My semester fees was around 1,87500 lakh rupees which i found little expensive. Hostel fees was around 80000 rupees yearly which was included in the total fees.
Campus Life
Indoor and outdoor activities are organized in our institute. On its annual function day, many activities like singing, dancing , quiz, drama, debate, extempore speech, writing competition etc are organized. We enjoyed a lot by Participating in most of the activities.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel provides very good facilities for the students. The infrastructure of the hostel was also good. There were separate hostels for both boys and girls. Facilities like power backup, solar facility, free Wi-Fi, laundry, water purifier facility etc was provided in the hostel. The environment of the hostel was very calm and peaceful.
Admission
The admission process was based upon the marks obtained in the Bachelor degree. The minimum criteria was 50 percent of marks in B. E/B. TECH (Mechanical Engineering) , Naval Architecture are eligible to get admission in this course. Candidates should at least obtain 50 percent of marks in English subject in 10 th standard, 12 th standard or degree course.
Faculty
All teachers have a deep knowledge and passion in their respective subjects. Teachers are very discipline and punctual. They have very good knowledge in their respective subjects. All teachers are very helpful.
