Course Curriculum Overview

The course designed focuses on the specialty chosen. It is quite multi-dimensional with a focus on practical and theoretical aspects. We have to attend lectures and at the end present a thesis which will incorporate your views and research. You also get stipend during the period for your work.

Placement Experience

4.5

You can work in the institute's hospital or might teach in universities to medical students. In my case, I got into another hospital in my city which was convenient for me and the director's recommendations were quite helpful.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Well, the fee is not much considering your stipend and the profession. I had to pay around 21K INR per year during the course which is very less compared to Fortis or any other institute. Well, this fee includes various other fees except for tuition fees(as it is free).

Campus Life

Well, we usually research on our findings and work for the thesis. But, for relaxation, we go out to watch movies or go for clubbing. We also do social service on Sunday for the NGOs(free medical camp) which I believe every doctor should do.

Admission

One need to have minimum of 50% aggregate in MBBS and should appear in DNB CET which a national level test. After that, through the counseling process one can land here for the program. There are 4 seats available for DNB Anaesthesiology course and I managed to get one.

Faculty

4.5

Well, the faculty is quite decent and highly qualified. It is said that experience speaks in the medicine field and it can be seen in faculties. Their experience and knowledge after going through all those operations are a great asset for us as they share their views during sessions.

My plan is to work for 2 years and continue with higher studies and focus in research based area which increases the job security and salary

Placement Experience:

Placement s not too great. TPO communication with students is not open-ended. Very few campus placements. Also, the packages offered are not that great. Students can attend off-campus drives. Even placement training is not conducted.
