Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is one which focuses on the practical application of the theoretical part that has been taught. You will never feel the boredom which, dare I say, some other Courses' have in them. Throughout the course, you will understand all the nuances of nautical sciences which are going to help you a lot in years to come. The exam structure is once at the end of the year for the diploma certification
Placement Experience
Being one of the premium nautical institutes in the country, students usually get good stipends and companies of their choice, but the university doesn't guarantee anybody on the point of placements. The Internships, likewise have to be looked at by our own discretion, there are no such opportunities provided by the university.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is quite high, around 390,000 for the diploma program. With 20,000 as admission; 172,500 as tuition fee and the rest (197,500) as other fee. Though one can take financial assistance, like I did in the form of educational loan to pay the amount.
Campus Life
No. This is a college which does not promote much cultural societies. It focuses on the curriculum and strictly adheres to it. Though I have seen people of different sects, region and religion attending classes, so diversity is not a problem here, but economic status, only people who are at least of middle class can afford to study in this college, as others won't be able to afford the high price.
Admission
The college required a minimum of 55% in physics, maths and chemistry to be able to apply for the entrance exam. I got more than that, so I was able to sit for the entrance, which through a bit of hardwork, I was able to crack.
Faculty
Strict and disciplined are words which come into mind when I think about the faculty of this college. But they are at the same time, very open to any queries that we might have. They are always ready and interested to share their own experiences in the field.
