CET - Common Entrance Test. Its a state level entrance examination for the MBA courses and I thought I can do well in this.
Course Curriculum Overview
Very good. I was interested in finance and it had very good curriculum from Mumbai university backed by a strong teaching faculty. The curiculum was inline with the times and upgraded regularly as per the needs of the changing corporate and economic environment.
Internships Opportunities
Did my internship from a reputed bank keeping my finance career in mind. Stipend was decent at around Rs 10000 but the learning experience was very rewarding.
Placement Experience
Placements was 100%. Got the relevant job and was satisfied. The placement of the batch was with very good tier 1 corporates in Mumbai and other metros of the country.
College Events
College events includes intercollege presentations, research paper competitions, group discussions which was very enriching as a participant and student learning various topics well researched by all the groups.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship loans were not available from the college but bank loans were very easily available for students interested in it.
Campus Life
The college has a large campus in the heart of Mumbai. The trust has other colleges and courses also available for students of various age groups and interests. This made the campus very lively and active in terms of extra curricular activities including sports.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is quite strong. Regular mails and annual alumni meets are arranged to keep in touch with colleagues and improve networking. I get mails from the college placement teams updating me on the various initiatives being taken by the college. Also try to attend the alumni meetings as time permits.
Exam Structure
The exam structure was biannual and was designed in a manner .That it had to be hectic and required continuous commitment from the students with regular presentations on topics and marks allocated and grades given on a monthly basis.
Faculty
Faculty was very experienced and from industry background with hands on industry experience. The visiting faculty were from very good corporates teaching latest trends of industry and keeping us updated on required skills.
