Entrance Preview

Karnataka CET, i scored a rank of 2415. I had an option of IS in RVCE, but one of my senior preferred CS over IS and the college i had was SIT, Tumkur which ranked 7th during my KCET.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

An 8 semester regular full time course, with optional to choose every semester from 3rd. Choose wisely in which you feel the interest drives in. You can progressively carry on the optional like Java, Advanced Java and etc. I had taken Cloud computing as my optional. Which helped me a lot during interviews.

Internships Opportunities

Not every one will get an internship offers, it depends on the discretion of students interest and his scores till any company asks for internship or they opt for it. One of my friend was able to bag an internship for Informatica and also Bosch, some other companies as well.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placements are good. Decent enough to bag every one in the class. Only 2-3 out of 120 students were not placed. TCS, Mindtree, DELL, Informatica, Bosch, SLK, etc more than 70 companies had visited during 2012.

College Events

2.5

Every departmental and college level events for arts and sciences are celebrated. Also sports at departmental, college and inter-college event (VTU) also will be celebrated. We got a chance to host VTU level sports and arts events once.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is pretty low when you have entered as a CET free seat candidate which was 28090 /- plus 11000/- approx every year and the exam fees are around 2500 approx for every semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship programs are plenty, with the reservation aligned towards the State government policies. Many of our friends got their 70% of the fee back.

Alumni/Alumna

Every year they call for an alumni meet but the process is bit expensive is what i feel. Network over the let out students is solely at students interest. The help they seek from the alumni is also low so i feel it should be the area of improvisation. The preference is given to passed out toppers though.

Exam Structure

Similar to all other engineering coleges with two internals(one optional internal if you have a reason to skip one out of former two) and an externals. Syllabus will be provided every semester start and will follow the same pattern.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got this college and course through snq quota so I joined this college. If you want to just focus on academics you can join this college. But if you want to enjoy, want cultural activities, want to bunk , this college is not for you, don't expect anything as such. If you bunk classes your parents will be called and strict action will be taken
