Symbiosis International (Deemed University) also has MOU's of collaboration with several renowned universities of the world and encourages students & faculty to participate in its programmes. And it is a very prestigious university

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty in our college are highly educated. They are the pioneers in their field. However, some problem lies in the delivery of the subject as many of them have poor communication skills. Overall management of the department could do better. The curriculum is rigorous and challenging.

Placement Experience

The placement cell doesn't focus on the placements of the students. The reason is, very few students opt for placements after B.Sc. in Economics. However, the students who are interested can approach the placement cell and can get the contacts of the industry. Internships are compulsory, and placements cell helps the students for it.

College Events

Our campus is small but sufficient for the number of students who have taken this course. The classrooms are fine. The labs are spacious. The library has the scarcity of books. Food provided in the canteen is good, and the prices are also low. Also our Fest is known as Equilibria and we have Economist of the year

From 3rd sem students are eligible for the placement . Many famous chemical companies around the area or near by numbers are depend upon the companies requirements highest package is 3L per annum almost 40 percent students are placed.

Placement Experience:

After the last semester's exams, students are eligible to face campus placements and go to jobs. Vsi sugar factory, Carlsberg, United Breweries, Beverage companies and many sugar factories come for interviews or jobs. They offer various roles for a career. The highest package offered by companies is about ten lakhs. The average package is near 5 lakhs. Near 90% percentage students got placement in college. I'm going for further studies in Banglore with a part-time job in a brewery.

PG not given any campus you will get a job on your ability. We have to prepare for set net after MSc but there are some companies visited college like Wipro. They provide job but the salary is around 25000 per month.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose Msc biotechnology as my specialization course. It is an interdisciplinary course which includes various subjects and field. One can have multiple opportunities after Msc biotechnology. Teachers are very supportive they are ready to do help at any time. Encourage their students to give their best in their field also help to solve students personal issues too. Teachers are frank with students but also strict regarding submission. Faculty members are well qualified pursuing PhD, MPhil degrees in particular subjects. Exam pattern is divided in internal exams and university exam including theory and practical paper.

Nice College

Remarks:

Nothing negative, college is nice. Both bachelor and master degrees are present so you can take direct admission for your preferred degree. Overall staff is nice and infrastructure is also very well, nothing to worry about that.

Need to improve alot

Remarks:

Need to improve alot. One thing which I hate the most is even after paying such heavy fees we have to pay Rs.5 for everyday parking which I don't understand. Even the faculty doesn't care about it. The canteen food is not that good. People at canteen are very rude.

I chose SSE over JGU without a doubt and have no regrets about the same. The course in JGU was new and interesting. I quite liked it but personally economics and "Symbiosis" appealed more to me. SSE Review

Symbiosis School of Economics (SSE) has a great brand image as compared to other colleges I applied to (NMIMS & SNU). I chose SSE as it has great optional courses related to finance which I was interested in (Corporate Finance, Portfolio management and more). The college is in Pune which is really good as its a student city. It has great places around. The main con of the college is that its campus is very very small. We don't have any ground or court hence all sports practices are held in parks, grounds and courts a little far away from the college.
