Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus is handed over to us during the admission and it covers the significant subjects. Continuous assessments are conducted in the forms of class tests and assignments. Semester exam could be conducted in the university or as take-home examination.
Placement Experience
M.A English degree from The English and Foreign Languages University helps the student apply for roles such as Content writer, Copy writer, Magazine editor etc. I recently got hired as a trainee for one of the leading newspapers and the skills I have earned from my course have made it possible for me.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The annual fee for the course is around 5.5k and thus, for the entire course it comes around 12k. Additionally, Rs.500 was paid for application. This is very affordable for a masters degree and economically backward students can apply for fee waiver schemes.
Campus Life
More than 1.7 Lakhs of books are available in our library and it has become the centre for obtaining knowledge. Research and academic activities are done here by both faculty as well as the students. We can access the journals with the help of Open Public Access Catalogue.
Hostel Facilities
The non-residents of Hyderabad are eligible to utilise the hostel facilities. Healthy food is provided in the hostel mess and the mess bill comes around Rs.2000 - Rs.2500 per month. Seperate hostels for boys and girls are available.
Admission
For distance learning program there is no entrance required in The English and Foreign Languages University. I applied for M.A English by paying the application fee. After this process, the applications were shortlisted and I got selected for the course.

The faculties are very dedicated and always strives to give the best to us out of this course. They exhibit latest techniques in making us learn the subject and also updates us with ideas for assignments and current trends in our field.
