Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

We are made to analyze and demonstrate knowledge of the history of different regions of the world by participating in debates and being offered forums of verbal historical discussions. The curriculum is well-formed.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement cell conducts various job fairs and seminars. Training programs are also organized for us. Our seniors have been recruited with reputed companies with good placement packages from the college itself.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is really feasible and affordable for all students. I approximately submitted a fee of Rs. 2000/-. The fee varies for students of Tamil Nadu and other states but all in all it is transparent and reasonable structure.

Campus Life

4

The college has various clubs like NCC, NSS, YRC, RRC which organizes various activities for us. There is also a traffic regulatory club along with an eco-club to create awareness among the students about eco-friendly activities

Admission

I got admission to the college purely on a merit basis. I filled out an application form which can be obtained from the college office itself for BA History after completing my 12th class. There are also certain seat reservations for the minorities.

Faculty

4.5

Most of our professors are M.A. , M.Phil. , Ph.D. and have various areas of research interest they hold expertise in. Many of them have impressive research backgrounds in History Indian National Movement, Folklore, etc.

Madras School of Economics - [MSE], Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics, python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.
