There is annual day in each YEAR ( preferably in NOVEMBER). There is kims premier League for cricket. There is annual sports meet conducted before annual day. There is graduation day in February. There intercollege WHO debate program about health issues in world each year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Merit ( NEET) - feasible Management and NRI - EXPENSIVE There is separate fee structure for MERIT ( VIA NEET), MANAGEMENT AND NRI. FOR merit government will fix the fees of college and they can take some extra fees like lab fees, sports fees etc. For management they take 60 lakh to one crore. Management quota is distributed by college authority ( since this college is for vokkaliga people so vokkaliga students can get this seat). NRI IS through college authorities ( amount is huge ranging from one crore to two crore).any one can get NRI if anybody has such huge amount. If competition exist in NRI quota they will make a BID.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. I don't get any scholarship in this college. They distribute scholarship only for vokkaliga students based on their 10 th and 12 th marks card.

Campus Life

Medicine is mostly female dominate as most of girls prefer medicine.sice selection is through all india NEET Exam, there will be students from different states of India including North India and South India. There will be difficulties in language learning for outside Karnataka student. Some batches conduct own parties like send off party. There will be some conference from various department in our college and they offer workshops and research project. This college is for Vokkaligas so we can see "gowdas and reddys" cast students more. Even workers in this college are also vokkaligha cast.Since selection in this Institute is via Neet exam conducted by central government.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes. Hostel is good in terms of cleanliness, food, environment. There is separate hostel for boys and girls in same place ( banashankari second stage, bangalore). There is vegetarian and non vegetarian food available. They serve three times a day. In accomodation each room can accomodate 3 students. There is toilet non attached) and washroom ( non attached). There is also a separate hostel for postgraduates. you can contact warden for further details. KIMS MENS HOSTEL, BANASHANKARI SECOND STAGE, BANGALORE.

Alumni/Alumna

Example Kerala( malayalam), Karnataka( kannada), andhra pradesh( telugu), north India (hindi). If you enter the college you will come to know ur own state seniors. There will be no such ragging (except for initial few days and later they will help us. )

I got admission in this college through Karnataka CET exam which was conducted before but now admission is via NEET UG exam. There is management and NRI QUOTA TOO. Admission is under control of vokkaligara sangha authorities located in V V PURAM Bangalore. Fees of merit quota is available in college website.

Faculty

4

In our college faculty r good. Each department has 10 to 15 tutors depending on their experience ( professor, assistant professor, associate professor, senior residents). They conduct PG programmes, research projects. Teaching is via PowerPoint presentation. There is lab teaching in afternoons in respective department where they demonstrate and assist the students.

Postings are helpful because we get to learn a lot of things and even the practical classes of pre and para clinical subjects. But keeping attendance mandatory for theory class doesent help much bcoz at the end we remember only those things which we have studied in our space and peace of mind. But attendance is very important criteria for getting eliginility for final exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I grew up in a family of doctors and it was always my plan to pursue Mbbs. The faculty I would say like every college has the great ones and the not-so-great ones. The faculty: student ratio is high, but it all comes down to the quality of teaching. And which is okay as compared to govt. Colleges. Final Exams and at the end of each year, with question paper being set by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. It is considered a very difficult exam to pass among medical universities in India. And 3 internal exams are conducted every year by the college itself.

Since it is a medical college. There are not many direct placements. We secure a good result and our next exam score decides the college we get placed or the pg course we shall be pursuing. My plans after getting this degree would be to pursue a course in general surgery.
