Remarks

Bad: College campus is quite small as compared to other colleges. Hostel is not in college campus, its around 1Km away from it. Placements are not that good. Industrial visit don't happen very much. Chemical industry is in front of campus and that leaves a foul smell. Good: Because of campus residing away from city, there is no noise here. Faculty are co-operative.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Our syllabus is decided by our governing University i.e GTU. Our college is AICTE affiliated and its syllabus remains same as all engineering have. You can refer to any book publication that is approved by AICTE. There is no restriction on that and its not necessary to study only what is taught in college. Subject wise mid semester exams are taken by college faculty.

Placement Experience

2

There are not many placements here although their is an dedicated placement cell available. Students with high merit list can get offers from selected government or private companies. There is also a Job fair where companies come but they are not that great and do not offer high salary.

College Events

3

Our main event is Praxes which we celebrate in the begging months of every year. Praxes includes both cultural and technical events like sports, technical quiz, robo war, robo race, projects, Computer games and many more stuff. Their is also a dedicated sports week for all sports events and students from across the state participate in both events. We also celebrate Navratri, Republic Day, Independence Day, Holi here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As our college is government so you don't need to worry about the fee structure. The fee usually varies from ? 2500-3000. Exam fee is ? 125 per subject per semester. You can expect total fee including semester exam fee under ? 5000 p.a (hostel fee, mess fee not included).

Fees and Financial Aid

Students here can avail any scholarship. If you are from Gujarat then you can go with several state scholarships. You can also avail any national scholarship if you clear entrance exams. If you're from J&K then can go with PM special scholarship scheme where you will get a minimum of ? 100,000 p.a.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is ok as you don't get much resources here. College campus is not that big and there are only 4 branches i.e Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Mining. Gender ratio is very low and you can expect it around 10:1. There are some extracaricular activities in which you can participate like NCC, NSS, Swach bharat abhiyan and many more. Every weekend there is 1-2 labs in each department.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Yes i live in our college hostel. Structure of hostel is excellent. All basic facilities are available here like water coolers on each floor, cctv cameras for surveillance, bathrooms on each corner of each floor. But the only problem here is that hostel is not in college campus. Its almost 1Km away from college.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes seniors are quite helpful here. You can get a plenty of information if you want to. My seniors helped me in getting this college. Seniors in our college will help you in academics as well in sports. You can ask seniors about scholarship shemes and technical events occurring in any college no matter in which state they lie. If you respect your seniors then you can expect plenty of help in return.

Admission

I am from J&K and i got admission through Gujarat Qota. Students here get admission on the basis of merit. Your chance of getting selected here will depend on your rank and course you decide to opt. Mechanical Engineering has the highest cut off rate.

Faculty

3

Our faculties are highly educated and all hail from engineering background and are selected by our University. There is an specific exam for all those who aspire to become an lecturer and if they qualify then are selected. Depending upon their ranks government colleges are allotted to them. Their is a Class system where Class A means superior or at high post.

Placement Experience:

Placements at the college are moderate, with students becoming eligible from the 6th or 7th semester. A few IT and core companies visit, offering roles like developer and trainee engineer. The highest package is around 6–8 LPA, while the average is 2–4 LPA. Around 50–60% of students get placed, while others pursue higher studies or off-campus jobs. My plan after completing the degree is to improve my skills and aim for better opportunities or pursue higher education.

You can take campus this placement from your first sem you don't have any issues but it's has to be a good company and the package because from 2nd year they start giving you placement chances to intern. Placement is there and around 92-95% students get placed every year which is quite good in current economy. Highest package offered was 12LPA which is decent for aa college openend less than a decade ago. Average package is around 6LPA to 7LPA. There is no restrictions in semester in which a student can apply for placement but usually 3rd and 4th year students are the one applying. My plan after degree is higher studies in colleges like Monash etc
