B. J. Medical College, Ahmedabad, is considered to be a prestigious institution. It is nodal center for various programmes and diseases testing. It is affiliated to one of the largest hospital of the world. It is a great and well recognised college by people in India as well as by people outside India.

Course Curriculum Overview

Exams are very less as compared to other college. There are internals and prelims and the final University exams. There is a good focus on research, the faculty ensure that Student know how a research is performed. The basic knowledge about how to conduct a research. The college actively have many ongoing research.

Placement Experience

The college is affiliated to Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad. It is the third largest hospital in the world and first in Asia. The stipend offered to the students during internships is varied. For UG, it was more than Rs. 15, 000, and for PG, it is more than Rs. 60, 000. Students also get one of the best exposures to numerous and also rare patients making them capable enough.

College Events

Two major events : A garba night is celebrated every year. And Annual fest BJBeats and a conference Concourse. The Bj beats is one of the largest fest among the medical college in gujarat, and have more than 5000 students. The fest and conference is organised by students itself. Various artist and singer have been to the fest including Sachin Jigar, Benny Dayal, KK etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are feasible and it's 6000/per year. Plus gymkhana fees. It's affordable by most of the students and those who aren't have various schemes and governement Yojana available for them. Fees are to be paid before the starting of each year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Various scholarships and government schemes are available for students who belongs to Economic Backward Class. Free books are provided to students also. Loan facility maybe available. Verified Certificate have to be present by the student in order to avail such benefits.

Campus Life

Gender ratio : 70:30, Fresher parties are their for freshee ( 1st year). Alumni meetup is done by the college itself. The college is secular, there is no gender, caste, race discrimination as such. The college has a large cricket ground, basketball court, garden, badminton court, separate common rooms for boys and girls, a canteen, parking space etc.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are one of the best. Hostels have 24*7 water and electricity supply. The hostel and college lack free Wi-Fi facility. The boys hostel is a bit far from the college. The hostel building are new and have a good infrastructure. There are two canteen, a mess and laundry facilities available.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are extremely helpful with studies, entrance exams preparation, extracurricular activities like handling events, organising fest, conference, awareness programs. Alumni are also helpful both financially and academically. They ensure latest and good facilities are available.

Admission

Admission in BJMC is similar to other medical college across India i. e via NEET - National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. After the result pf NEET is declared, seat can be obtained via two ways - first is via AIQ (All India quota) and another is via state quota. A merit list is prepared by the admission committee of Gujarat and then subsequently the students get to choose the college.

B. J. Medical College, Ahmedabad, is considered to be a prestigious institute because of one of the factors being the teaching staff. The college has one of the best profeesors. Anatomy and pharmacology departments are the best. Faculty members of every department are actively involved in research and also encourage students to be a part of it. Profeesors, residents and tutors are very helpful with preparing for PG, and also they solve our doubts.

Remarks:

Infrastructure is almost of the modern age. So there is no difficulty in reading as well as residing in the hostels. Library and study rooms are well maintained also departments are well maintained with working labs.

Remarks:

All the things are mentioned above in detail. College still need to be taken proper care in order to attract more patients and for which it ia already working on, current condition is much better then earlier which is still going on in positive direction.
