Noorul Islam College of Arts and Science is a 2001 established college located in the scenic Velimalai Hills. It has 11 Ph.D. holders and 75 M. Phil degree holders in its teaching staff. IN 2019, it had three gold medalists in Manomaniam Sundaranar University Examination.
Placement Experience
The college has a Placement and Career Guidance Cell. Both graduate and postgraduates from this college have been placed in companies like Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Institute of Language Management, Cope, Cafe Coffee Day, and many others.
College Events
NICAS has events like national conferences, workshops, teacher’s day and Onam. These events are both teachers and students studying in the college. NICAS participates in conferences and workshops to contribute towards society.
Campus Life
The college has a volleyball team that participates in zonal competitions and during athletic university athletic meets. It has a library with 7000 books and a subscription of 15 periodicals. It has a “Junior Chamber International” that participates in global meetings, events, training, projects, and programs.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has a “NICAS-ALUMNI Association” with more than 2000 alumni. These people are either pursuing post-graduate courses from college or place in various industries like BPO, Software, Hardware, Banking, etc.
Admission
In order to get admission into the college, you need to have your supporting school and graduation documents, 2 passport photos, and pay the fees. The documents include transfer, conduct, community, id proof, and family identity card.
Faculty
The teaching faculty at the college consists of B. Ed M.A., M. Phil. Ph.D. M.A.(J & MC), PGDCA qualified assistant professors. There are 18 teachers in the English department. The principal of the college is Dr. S. Perumal holds M.Sc., M. Phil., B. Ed., Ph.D. degrees.
