Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course and syllabus structure is arranged in an organised manner with the goal that students can discover new information related to their subjects which will encourage them to research more and have a new perspective.

Placement Experience

5

There is huge selection of companies who offer mass placements to the students of SNDT Women's University Center of Distance Education like IBM, FEDEX, ZUES, MOBICULE etc. In the last year of almost any course the campus helps students to get internships which help students to understand the work in their choice of field practically and help them to gain more experience.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is very feasible in comparison to other universities. For B.com the fees can range between 5000INR to 8000 INR yearly. Which includes registration fee, tution fee and examination fee. Looking at the facilities provided by the university it looks quite okay to me.

Campus Life

3.5

The students organise different social events like plays, competitions, trips, tours etc. The university also organises different interactive events, seminar and workshops which are conducted by professionals in their respective fields.

Admission

I had background in commerce stream so I wanted to peruse B.com as my bachelor's degree. After passing the eligibility criteria that is 1) minimum age 18yrs and 2) minimum education class 12, you fill out a entrance registration form online or offline. You attach all the important documents which were asked.

Faculty

4

The whole faculty and staff members are very professional and helpful. They have vast knowledge and experience in their respective course that they share with their students and encourage them to voice out their views and perspectives.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are decent but not very high. students usually become eligible from the final year and few companies visit for roles like accounting assistant, sales, customer service. The average package is usually around Rs.2LPA-Rs.3LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Due to NEP the course has been more developed to the students and teachers also explain the topocs to us very clearly and the thing should be change that the timing of the paper are at morning time which is at 7:30am it should be 10 or 10:30 because this time the students get late to the paper and didnt get time to prep.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
