M.tech From IIIT Bangalore

The college is located on about 10 acres. The campus is very small but got good infrastructure. All the facilities like gym, washing machine, sports ground, hot water are provided by the campus.

The course structure is based on the current requirements in the industry. They taught us what is going on in the current sector. Apart from that they also have a collab with some industries to provide students gaining experience by working with them. Apart from that many monthly workshops and lectures are delivered by facilities all over the world.

IIIT-Banglore is placement-oriented. In the first 2 semesters companies visited campus for a summer internship of 2 months which can be converted full time based on individual performance. In 3 sem companies visited for full-time placement. In the placement drive, about 250 students take part and the success ratio is about 99%. All the top companies such as morgan, Amazon, Flipkart, Samsung, Microsoft, cisco visited our campus. Apart from that many startups also visited such as hungerbox,duzo,pluribus,seimens. The average package is about 16 lakhs and the minimum package is about 10 lakhs.

Cultural fest-infinite.It's good but not the best. This time. College provides us fund of about 8lp but they didn't allow outside sponsor. It's a 2-day event in which fashion shows, EDM night, dance event was organized. Sport events-spandan,umang.Umang is an inter-college sports festival in which all colleges from all over Bangalore can participate. Spandan is for the only students of iiit B. Apart from that, all festivals are celebrated in the college.

There is no reservation of seats which can be given by donation. All seats are transparent and opted only by gate score. The program is a bit expensive. For four 4 semesters, the MTech fee is about 8lakh. This includes hostel and mess-free also. Apart from that, you get 12500 stipends from mhourd. College is accepting all kinds of payments mode and also you can download your fee receipt after payment from the admission portal.

Rs12400 is provided a scholarship by mhourd which will directly be credited to your bank account. Apart from that if your cgpa is exceptionally good then you will get some discount on your admission fee.

In our batch out of 150 students, only 20 are girls. So you can predict the gender ratio. However, we have good diversity.III Banglore had a strict policy about ragging. Apart from that many societies are there in iiit b such as dance club, sports club,aikyam, singer club which conduct regular activities.

The hostel rooms are excellent. For M.tech guys, individual rooms are allocated. There are 7 floors and on each floor, 100 rooms are there so rooms are enough. Daily cleaners are come to clean your room. Per room you will get a separate bed, almirah and study table, Apart from that for bath hot water is available.

Yes, alumni and senior students are really helpful. They guide us to be on the right path. There is no culture of sir and mam. All are called by name.

Direct admission through Gate. You will get admission upto 1300 Air gate ranks. Placement and course structure is very good. III-B offfers specialization in data science,networking and system & theory. Apart from that there is also option of doing mtech without specialization.

All the faculty are excellent in their job. They are highly qualified and also had good industry experience. On average 4-7 lectures are scheduled per week. At the beginning of the term, they provide us orientation sessions about their subject because we can choose only 4 subjects per semester. So based on your interest you can choose your subjects.
