Course Curriculum Overview

4

It's by far the most enriching experience for me. Law school makes you grow as a person. It offer you the exposure that I think no other course can. Exam structure follows as one midsem and one endsem exam. No it's not a hectic schedule.

Placement Experience

3

Yes. The placement rates in my college are increasing every year. Most of the students get a pre- placement offer that is the PPO. The upcoming batches are mostly good and at 50 students get placed at good law firms.

College Events

3.5

As we are a law school we have two thing every year. We have moot court competitions organized by the moot court committee. Then we have Colossus. It's a cultural plus sports fest. The budget is quite high for both.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's feasible. Around 10 Lacs for 5 years. But the policy is different for the students from ST and SC category. They get paid to study in there. Which is good and bad equally. Mostly the fee is feasible for all the classes.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are good scholarships options for low strata but I don't know much.

Admission

I had to write CLAT to get into this National Law University. I chose it because I wanted to become a lawyer. I was a science student but then I wasn't sure if I wanted to become an engineer. But then I saw CLAT as an option. I explored the career of a lawyer. I used to think it's the traditional court profession but understanding later, I got to know about the corporate experience provided by the law firms. As I wanted to get into corporate sector I chose CLAT over JEE examination.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty isn't that good. You have to study mostly on your own. The kind of college you get into is really important. Private law schools offer better faculties. But at the end of the day college is all about studying on your own.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course I took was bba llb.. as I was interested in management aspects along with wit law, the structure gives for an integrated study of both the subjects at the same time. The student-faculty ratio is good and the faculty are very approachable for any academic help and the atmosphere is quite free and I feel that is a big factor for a law school. The term exams were always held in time and can be passed with low to mid difficulty if given with some sincerity as 40% marks are allowed to internals.and 60% to written exams. and passing is 50%.

Remarks:

Overall, the college is really good and it is upon you how you want to make the best out of the innumerable opportunities available. I believe the faculty can get better and more professionals can be recruited to teach. The mess facility was bad but with the new Vice Chancellor in our college, things are starting to get better. We also have juice shops, laundry services, AMUL, fast food centres and salons in our college itself. The library is huge and has access to all kinds of material we might need. Otherwise, the library is always open to suggestions on what the students need.

Remarks:

My university is average in everything. People are doing good here. Many of its alumnus are in very good law firms or company, some have cracked civil services, some have judicial services, some have done or are doing their P.G from very good colleges in the world like Harvard, NUS etc. So we can see it as a good investment by taking admission here.
